Weaknesses: In the end of the day a bullet to the head, or a superpowered monster is able to kill him, he is only human, unlike Chris who punches boulders.
Personality: Comes off as Headstrong and harsh but actually fearful for the safety of his crew, Merciless and also quick witted under stress and also experience if his team is infact a traitor or infected he won't hesitate to put a bullet between the eyes, Empathetic person and a kind guy if you actually managed to survive his countless deadly missions he usually goes through he will warm up to you and actually respects and will treat you better as he would know you can actually pull up your weight.
Backstory:
Sgt first class, Mcguire, is a army guy before he eventually joined the BSAA, he thought as a kid that soldier work was easy, just shoot the bad guys and your done! Boy was he wrong the moment he joined the army it isn't that simple as he thought it was, he joined the BSAA because he genuinely wanted to help people, at the cost of his mental state, he would often try and go out of order or stay, and finish the mission, even though he would get scolded by superiors, he did know when to back down when things kick the hay, and he would go along.
Promoted for his dedication as well as persistentence and constant sweeps, taking aside his rash tendencies to stay, he did gather as much Intel as he could have, he was indeed, scolded again, until he got under Chris's command which did last for about 3 years, before he got his own unit and became a captain himself when he had a knack for commanding, it was a bumpy ride at first and he felt the same weight as Chris did, losing the people he cared most, and he grew to become a bit of a lone wolf, he half expected most the guys and gals under him to die, he and his squad often undergo stealth mission and Sabatoges, or better yet clean up duty.
He grew used to the death of comrades because that's what he signed up for, to be a warrior of justice or whatever, a soldier, he gave away his normality, and part of his sanity for the protection of the human race against this types of virus, it's hard and kinda damn right Hellish it's his profession and damn right he is good at it.

Off duty (if he gets one) he likes to just laze around and often just play games and hang out with the squad if he gets one.
The messed up shit he sees is when a infected kid shown its true ugly mug and murdered 2 of his soldiers before he put a bullet between the infected kids eyes, he didnt sleep too well in the next few days.
