Where do I watch this?: Crunchyroll
Thoughts about the OP: This song is so upbeat and unlike any other OP that I've heard in a while! If I'm being honest, it sounds more like a Vocaloid song than anything. It's got a catchy hook, but also has a complex melody. Amazing job from syudou who actually does produce Vocaloid music, using Hatsune Miku. The visuals for the OP also showcase how much effort the animation team put into this sequence. I want for nothing. Out of all the shows I've seen so far this season, this OP sequence has to be my favorite!
Thoughts: Immediately this show addresses the fact that it's not the first of its genre in a very clever way. Misumi, the protagonist, is the most unlucky and unlikely isekai hero there is. His isekai adventures are not like others, most particularly in the fact that he was stripped of his "hero" status due to the goddess considering him ugly. I absolutely love this premise and I'm very engaged in what's happening.
Predictions: Misumi is super strong and a quick learner of spells, but his level is only #1 when measured by a scroll. I think that's because he's not measurable by the goddess's calculation. So he's strong, but immeasurable.
