You hugged the sleeping figure of Jung-won who was tired of the trip to an amusement park

You quickly got off the car making your way towards his room to tuck him inside the sheets
"baby got so tired" you chuckled lightly not wanting to wake him up

"goodnight have good dreams" you spoke softly leaving his room
After reaching towards your room you did your routine and then plopped yourself on the bed quickly dozing off to sleep

Jungkook's pov:

We were having dinner with the whole family consisting of my brother, my sister in law, my stepmom, and my dad

Everyone was quiet as hell somehow it was awkward but at the same time I was so used to it
After all, it wasn't like we were a much happy family well it was never like that coz I don't remember the last time we all laughed and had time together

At first, it used to affect me when I was younger but now it never really does it's the way I like it coz nothing was the same

"jungkook do you know the girl who you were locked with?" jisso asked making me snap out of my thoughts
"uh..no" I simply replied with a powerful face

"Ohh how was she" she again asked making me annoyed cuz for God sake I am not in the mood but at least she was nice to me and was there for me when I needed
"i don't know," I said getting up from the dining while a voice stopped me

"meet me in my library after sometime I have something important to talk to you

I walked towards my dad's room since he called me saying it's something urgent
I went inside the library room in our house which was filled with numerous types of books

"what is it?" I asked with a straight face
"Ohh I thought you wouldn't like to come and talk to me" he spoke shifting his glasses a bit while adjusting his eyes in the book

"oh c'mon get to the point" I spoke sternly

"oh then take this" he suddenly pulled out a book which wasn't like others he had in the library handing it to me

"what is it," I asked with my brows furrowed
"go through this I am sure you won't regret this, after all, it's my present coz your birthday is coming" the old man spoke with an unreadable look

"What makes you think I'm gonna read some shit for you" I spoke merely raging out

"if you don't wanna maybe it could be the biggest regret of your life then don't blame me that I kept it in dark from you" the old man chugged a fine glass of wine he had in his other hand whereas one handheld the book

"huh crap" I spoke storming out of the room

Somehow I wanted to know what was in that book that could make me regret if I don't read it but at the same time I felt giddy and weird about the book

The title of the book and cover reflected that it might be some sad story making me scoff

I went through the whole book while sitting on my bed

It was normal until a note came out from the book only to drift towards the ground
