Their Tale | Gojohime Modern AU

As the breeze of the morning wind grazes her face, shivers go across Utahime's body

She rubs her arms with her hands before running to the bus stop

She tries to heat her body up by walking faster, which worked in a way, but it was still freezing

As she arrives at the bus stop. She sits down before closing her eyes for a bit

As she opens her eyes, she got startled by Gojo's face so close to hers. He laughs and claps his hand in amusement

"Did you follow me?" Utahime asks before he sits down beside her "Nope, I get the bus here too"

"So I'll see you every morning now?" Utahime asks in denial. She really hopes this isn't the case "Yep, at least for the next month. My car's in the shop" Utahime breathes out heavily in relief

"I bet you're so sad that you wouldn't see this face every morning after that month" Gojo teases while Utahime fake gags "In no way would I hope to see your face" Gojo chuckles before the bus arrives

They rode the bus in silence. Mostly looking at their phones. As they arrive to their workplace, Utahime takes in the size of the office

"Is it bigger than the one in Kyoto?" Gojo asks "Yep, a whole lot" Utahime chuckles before rushing in the building

"The outside was way better, but it's still fine" Utahime tried to rush to tour the place before she gets pulled from behind

"Why, Gojo?" She asks the man who pulled her "Don't get so excited yet to tour around. Come with me" He turns around to go to the mess hall

She still looks around more while following Gojo. Sometimes getting sidetracked, but still trying to focus on following Gojo

She doesn't know why she's following him, but is hoping it's something cool. Gojo has always given good gifts before to her as a way to waste his parents' money

As Gojo opened the mess hall door, they enter the dark room

"Are you gonna kill me?" Utahime jokes before the lights flash open and the whole staff is their to celebrate her joining

"I feel like you deserved this, Utahime" He looks back at Utahime and sees her wide smile

"I really want to hug you, but I also really don't want to" Gojo laughs "But really, thank you" Utahime says to Gojo before the party starts

In the middle of the party, Gojo calls for a toast

"I know we don't have any alcohol, but I want to call a toast for our new co-manager" Everyone raises their glass

"Utahime and I go way back, and she's always been a great addition to my life" Utahime looks at him in surprise

"Yes we don't always agree all the time, and she practically hates me" everyone laughs "But she's always been someone I've respected and thought of as a friend"

"So I want everybody to respect her. She has taught me many of the things that has led me to be a great salesman, and I hope she does the same to you all too" Utahime smiles at Gojo and he winks at her

"To Utahime"

"To Utahime!" Everyone says simultaneously

"Umm Gojo... Can we talk privately" Utahime asks and Gojo nods

"So... Did you really mean what you said?" She asks, being hopeful that he's finally matured enough to compliment somebody

"Yeah, just because you don't treat me as a friend and don't respect me, doesn't mean I don't" Utahime smiles and goes in for a hug

"No I definitely respect you. You're still really annoying but you're the best salesman I've ever seen" Gojo smiles and fistbumps her

"I also didn't want them to underestimate you. I know how hard women have it to gain respect to their male subordinates" Utahime looks at him in awe

"I've never expected you to say that. Maybe you have matured a little"

"C'mon only a little!" Gojo complained "All you get for now" they chuckle before Gojo comes back to the party

She slaps her face as she realizes the stupid grin and blush on her face

The wow in her face still hasn't dissipated before she decided to come to the party
