StarClan sends a cat to save the forest as they have no control over what will tear the forest apart,but now it's a matter between whether they succeed or not.. Along with a few other cats that have separate destinies to fulfill,and quick.
A week had passed since WindClan returned to their devastated territory, the clan had been working had to rebuild their camp and catch prey. DustStar was proud of how much his camp had begun to rebuild and of how much his kits had started to develop into fine youngsters, though he noticed AdderKit slowly falling silent and distant from the rest of his clan. DustStar stretched and yawned as the dawn sun shone on his pelt, he padded towards the half rebuilt nursery and sat down near his kits as they tumbled with each other outside the nursery. "You alright, AdderKit?" DustStar worryingly asked his silent kit, AdderKit kept a distance away from his three siblings and had a cold gaze...The same gaze as LeopardYowl and RoamingLeopard once held.."I'm fine." AdderKit snarled after a few long moments, the small kit heaved himself up and stalked into the nursery. "Give him some time, he may be upset that our camp has been destroyed." JuniperCloud mewed as she watched the angry kit, DustStar sighed and nodded. "I hope so," DustStar muttered, JuniperCloud walked towards him and sat by his side. "I'm just worried...The cold glare within his eyes reminds me of those horrid leopards that once threatened us.." DustStar whispered to JuniperCloud, JuniperCloud shook her head with another sigh. "Your kit won't be a cold-blooded murder, give him some time and he'll be fine," JuniperCloud whispered back to her leader with a warm gaze, DustStar smiled and nodded with hope. DustStar looked back at his other three kits, all with warm eyes and happy mews. "You know, they're about the age to be apprentices. I'm not one to brag but DoveKit would fit perfectly in the medicine den by my side.." JuniperCloud hinted to DustStar, he chuckled and nodded with agreement. "I'll make sure she'll be yours, don't you worry," DustStar replied, at last, JuniperCloud smiled and rushed towards DoveKit excitedly. DustStar gave a relieved sigh as LeanFlower, PebbleLeap, and DustHare entered the clearing with hares tightly clenched in their jaws and quickly being dropped into the empty fresh-kill pile. DustStar gazed to the sky and gave another wide smile, maybe the days would get brighter. The day for DoveKit, AdderKit, LeafKit, and ThornKit to become apprentices had come very quickly and DustStar was quite worried...AdderKits behavior had become increasingly concerning, he began to attack his siblings with violent intentions and started to try to sneak out of the camp. As DustStar leaped into high rock with PebbleLeap standing upon her smaller deputy rock the two shared worried glances, "May all cats old enough to climb the steep hills gather around the high rock for my announcement." DustStar yowled. The clan quickly gathered up with excitement, DustStar frowned as he noticed AdderKit with the same concerning cold gaze. "I have decided that DoveKit, ThornKit, LeafKit, and AdderKit are old enough to step up as apprentices. May these four cats I've called upon step up." DustStar declared, the kits raced towards the rock while AdderKit walked slowly. "LeafKit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as LeafPaw, Your mentor will be PebbleLeap, I hope PebbleLeap will pass down all she knows on to you." DustStar announced proudly then added, "PebbleLeap, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from your kit hood mentor, and you have shown yourself to be a great deputy.You will be the mentor of LeafPaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." DustStar finished. LeafPaw gave an excited mew and touched noses with PebbleLeap quickly, DustStar looked back to the other kits before him. "ThornKit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as ThornPaw, your mentor will be LeanFlower, I hope LeanFlower will pass down all she knows on to you." DustStar announced to ThornPaw, the newly called apprentice gave an excited squeal and raced towards LeanFlower. "LeanFlower.you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from your kit hood mentor, and you have shown yourself to be a Swift and clever warrior.You will be the mentor of ThornPaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." DustStar dipped his head as LeanFlower gave a warm smile to ThornPaw. DustStar sighed as his gaze fixed onto AdderKit who stood coldly, "AdderKit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as AdderPaw, Your mentor will be StormingLeap, I hope StormingLeap will pass down all she knows on to you." DustStar announced. DustStar gave an approving smile to himself as he naturally picked the strictest warrior of the clan, "StormingLeap.you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from your kit hood mentor, and you have shown yourself to be a Clever yet strict warrior.You will be the mentor of AdderPaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." AdderPaw slowly padded towards StormingLeap, the two touched noses silently though AdderPaw hesitated for a few moments. "Now, JuniperCloud please step up." DustStar mewed as DoveKit patiently waited for her announcement, JuniperCloud strolled onto the high rock with a smile. "I wish to take DoveKit as my apprentice, she has the natural talent and smarts of a true medicine cat that will be needed in the right times." JuniperCloud gazed warmly to DoveKit, "I and DoveKit will travel to moonstone so she will become an official medicine apprentice." JuniperCloud dipped her head. DustStar smiled as JuniperCloud leaped off high rock and touched noses with DoveKit, "Clan dismissed." DustStar dipped his head. The clan started to chant the newly appointed apprentices names with pride as DustStar pridefully licked each of his kits. AdderPaw gave a snarl as DustStar attempted to lick his shoulder, the cold apprentice walked towards the apprentice's den and disappeared into the halfway built den. DustStar gave a sigh and shook his head, he gave warm smiles to his other newly appointed kin as they rubbed against him with comfortable purrs. "I'm so proud of you three!" DustStar purred and laid down, the three young apprentices climbed onto his back just as they had has done. "Are you proud of AdderPaw?" LeafPaw asked as she sat on her father's back, "Of course I am." DustStar chuckled. "Where did AdderPaw go?" ThornPaw added, DustStar gestured to the apprentice's den as the three kits sat upon his back. "No fair! He's gone to check out our new den before us!" LeafPaw hissed, quickly the three apprentices bounded off towards their new den and disappeared in an instant. "Oh how much I'd pay to be young again!" PebbleLeap purred as she brushed against DustStars side, DustStar chuckled and nodded in agreement. "I'm starting to worry about AdderPaw, he has the same cold gaze that LeopardYowl and RoamingLeopard once held.." DustStar told PebbleLeap his worries after a few moments, PebbleLeap sighed and looked to the ground. "I noticed AdderPaws personality change, I'm not sure what is going on with him...Maybe you should try to speak to him?" PebbleLeap replied at last, "I guess talking to him is a good way. I'll go right now in fact." DustStar mewed quickly. DustStar heaved himself up only for his body to tremble as he heard a terrified yowl from the apprentice's den, he and PebbleLeap sprinted towards the apprentice's den in an instant. They gave sickened gasps as they looked inside and saw AdderPaw pinning DovePaw down, the grey molly gave another yowl as AdderPaw took a blow to her stomach with his strong forepaw. DustStar leaped on top of AdderPaw within seconds, AdderPaw let out a raged hiss and thrashed around under the powerful paws of his father. PebbleLeap collapsed to the ground in shock as she held DovePaw close, JuniperCloud rushed into the apprentice's den and took the two into the medicine den. "Why? Why would you hurt your sister..?" DustStar asked as he clenched his paws on AdderPaws chest, "Why!" DustStar demanded. AdderPaw hissed, "She perfect...Everything I'm not!" AdderPaw yowled with anger. DustStar loosened his grip on his son from shock as his eyes widened, LeafPaw and ThornPaw hid in the far corners under their moss. "You did this because...You think she's better than you..? You, a strong tom jealous of a petite molly..?" DustStar scoffed, "You sicken me.." DustStar spat. DustStar grabbed LeafPaw and ThornPaw then bounded into the medicine den, he dropped his two kits onto the ground and let out a gasp as he saw DovePaw. "I'm not sure she'll make it, her throat is bleeding far too much but I'll try my best.." JuniperCloud muttered with widened eyes. DovePaw laid in a neat moss bed with herbs bundled on her throat, her neck and chest blood-stained while her eyes were closed with peace. Though her flank was rising and falling it was shaky and she continued to bleed from her mouth, JuniperCloud bundled more herbs on her though her eyes were hopeless. "I demand you to try, even when there is no hope." PebbleLeap cried with anger, JuniperCloud pushed her back as she tried to touch DovePaw. "Out!" JuniperCloud yowled in panic and with a little hesitation PebbleLeap, ThornPaw, LeafPaw, and DustStar padded out the medicine den with anxiety. The four cats paced outside the medicine den with growing anxiety quaking their paws, suddenly LeafPaw dropped into a crouch with her tail thrashing. LeafPaw jumped onto AddedPaw with an outraged yowl and a massive thud, she dug her claws into his stomach and ignored his cries of pain. "You hurt my sister...I will make sure you will regret every single breath in your life if you ever even look at her wrong again.." LeafPaw hissed under her breath with hostile eyes, AdderPaws breath became heavy with panic as LeafPaw slashed his pink spotted belly and leaped off him in an instant. AdderPaw let out a shaking cry and curled up in pain as his stomach began to bleed, DustStar gave him a stare of hesitation then turned with a head shake...DustStars heart ached to see his son in pain but he could never love a rogue...PebbleLeap snapped her head around to AdderPaw as he kept letting out yowls, "Quit your crying. If you can kill in cold blood then you can stride through a slashed stomach." PebbleLeap spat as her tail thrashed and threw dirt into the air. ThornPaw looked at his brother with unreadable eyes, he shook his head and closed them as he leaned against LeafPaw. JuniperCloud stumbled out of the medicine den with half-closed eyes, "She'll make it. She just needs some rest and a lot of herbs." JuniperCloud dipped her head. The four cats let out gasps of surprise then gave smiles, quickly running into the medicine den and resting their heads upon DovePaws flank. "You'll make it...I knew you would.." PebbleLeap muttered softly, DustStar licked his daughter's shoulder with purrs as she slept. "Let her sleep peacefully, she'll need all the strength she can gather." JuniperCloud mewed, gesturing for the cats to exit. The four cats whispered their farewells and exited the medicine den with hope, they gave disgusted scoffs as they passed AdderPaw who was curled up with his stomach bleeding small speckles. "I've heard what has happened with DovePaw and AdderPaw...I hope she survives but what will we do with AdderPaw?" BurningBreeze stopped DustStar in his tracks, he thought for a moment and sighed. "I suppose he'll be made a prisoner in his clan, two warriors must keep watch of him at all times." DustStar suggested, BurningBreeze gave a sigh and nodded. "That's a horrid life but that's what he has chosen." BurningBreeze shrugged then followed DustStar as he walked towards high rock, he leaped upon the high rock with PebbleLeap sitting on her deputy rock. "May all cats old enough to catch their prey gather around the high rock to hear my words." DustStar yowled, quickly all his cats gathered up and he gave a chuckle as StormingLeap hostility held AdderPaws scruff. "I'm sure you all have heard about AdderPaws vicious attack on DovePaw, yes he must get a punishment. Since he is not old enough to be exiled he must become a prisoner, he will be within the separate side of the medicine den, and he will be watched by two warriors at all times. I believe that one warrior will leave the other to do his or her tasks then will return for the other to do their tasks, I will appoint StormingLeap and QuietShade as AdderPaws guards." DustStar announced loudly. StormingLeap and QuietShade dipped their heads then sat on either side of AdderPaw with meanly narrowed eyes, DustStar dismissed the clan with a flick of his tail and he leaped off a high rock. AdderPaw narrowed his eyes as his father passed by him, his sick green gaze filled with newly called hatred. DustStar continued to stroll on though his paws and heart ached as he thought over and over again of how this day had turned to one of the worst ones of his life, he gave a sickening sigh as he laid down near the elder's den and sunned himself on a rock. As he sat upon the rock he looked at all his cats as they worked hard to rebuild the dens, his heart continued to ache as his gaze settled on AdderPaw who sat in the clearing with his guards ordered him around. DustStar gave a snarl and his claws unleashed as he stared at his rogue-like son, what could have disrupted AdderPaws mind..? Was it my fault this happened..?Did I do something wrong? Did I say or act wrongly..? DustStar thought anxiously as his claws scraped the rock. "Hey, DustStar!" JuniperCloud yowled with annoyance, breaking DustStar from his horrific thoughts. DustStar sat up and turned to face the medicine cat as she stood outside the medicine den, "DovePaw! Come see her!" JuniperCloud gestured inside the medicine den. DustStar jolted up and ran into the medicine den, he gave a gasp and a smile as DovePaw slowly arose from the moss bedding. "Dad!" DovePaw mewed with happiness, the molly easily walked towards her father and licked his shoulder in greeting. "Are you okay?" DustStar worryingly asked and licked her shoulder in greeting, DovePaw nodded and purred in affection. "She's doing great, she just woke up and ate. Now she's easily walking around, I think she can travel to moonstone tonight!" JuniperCloud said with thrill and twirled in joy, DustStar gave a warm smile and looked to his daughter. "You two can start to moonstones if you think she's well enough to go, make sure to take traveling herbs in case!" DustStar advised, JuniperCloud dipped her head and grabbed traveling herbs quickly. "Be careful, don't cross the thundering path unless JuniperCloud says so and she says your side. If you have a sign from starclan while there come back and tell me-" DustStar blabbered on protectively as he licked DovePaws forehead, "I know! Thanks, dad, we'll be fine." DovePaw chuckled and rushed to JuniperClouds side. "May starclan light your paths! Stay safe, please!" DustStar yowled to the two Mollys as they exited their camp in a rush. DovePaw looked over her shoulder to her father and smiled quickly then both the Molly's disappeared into the gorse tunnel, DustStar gave a shaky sigh and walked towards the warriors' den. "Things are going better with building this den." LeanFlower mewed as DustStar inspected the slowly rising warrior's den, he nodded in agreement and gave a smile. "Hey, DustStar!" QuietShade bounded across the clearing and skirted to a halt in front of DustStar, the massive leader gazed at his warrior for him to speak. "It's about your son." QuietShade gestured towards the exit, DustStars eyes widened when he realized StormingLeap and AdderPaw weren't anywhere in the clearing. "Has he escaped..?!" DustStar muttered in panic, QuietShade shook his head but gazed down as DustStar gave him a hard stare. "I and StormingLeap were taking him out to train for a little while until he spotted a ShadowClan cat trespassing, he bolted toward the trespasser, and you're needed." QuietShade explained quickly, DustStar nodded and bounded outside the camp with QuietShade leading. QuietShade haunted suddenly near the gorge, DustStar leaped over ferns and brambles only to see StormingLeap desperately holding into AdderPaws scruff as he swatted viciously at a lean fawn-colored ShadowClan tom. "I demand you two to stop!" DustStar yowled and walked in front of the two cats, parting them easily while AdderPaw gave him a hateful glare. "Now, who are you, and why are you on WindClan territory?" DustStar turned to the ShadowClan Tom though he still separated the two cats from each other as the warrior's left eye was viciously clawed, the warrior hesitated for a moment then narrowed his ivory eyes. "I'm looking for prey until this flea-brained mouse-tailed pile of fox dung sprinted at me and clawed my eye!" The Shadowclan warrior spat with his fur bristled and eyes narrowed to small ivory slits, "You have no right on my territory. Now, what do they call you?" DustStar snarled with his eyes narrowed to blue slits. "They call me LightWing you frog dung..!" The shadow can Tom, lightWing yowled with fury burning through his eyes. "Well,lightWing. Is there a reason your hunting on WindClans territory instead of your own?" DustStar hissed back with his fangs showing and ears flattened, "My clan simply doesn't have enough food. It's none of your business!" LightWing rambled on. "That sounds a bit personal, take that back to your clan." AdderPaw retorted, LightWing hissed fury yet didn't dare to leap at the apprentice with DustStar standing in front of AdderPaw. "AdderPaw has done the right thing of attacking you. You've broken the warrior code." DustStar snarled with fury, LightWing gave a loud hiss and crouched down quickly with his tail swaying. LightWing leaped at DustStar with his claws extended and forepaws out only for DustStar and the cats behind him to scoot out of the way, LightWing gave a yowl of pain as he hit a tree with his side and fell to the ground with a thud. Suddenly two other ShadowClan cats leaped into the battle clearing, one was a fluffy dark brown molly who swat at AdderPaw the other was a lean black molly who fought QuietShade. "You've brought an ambush!? You disgust me you rat-tailed adder!" DustStar spat at LightWing who crunched over at the tree in pain, DustStar let out a battle cry and leaped onto the dark brown molly. DustStar gave a snarl as his claws dug into the tabby's stomach, she gave a screech of rage and kicked his stomach. The molly lifted her head and snapped at his throat, DustStar slashed his claws deeply into her nose and eye until she gave another yowl of defeat. The molly bolted off towards ShadowClans territory and disappeared into the bushes, DustStar turned and saw LightWing snatch up AdderPaw by his scruff. AdderPaw let out yowls of rage, before DustStar could help his son ThornPaw jumped leaped out of the bushes, and suddenly landed upon LightWings back. LightWing let out a screech of agony as the warrior-sized apprentice clawed his back, AdderPaw leaped up and quickly clawed LightWings eyes. LightWing kicked ThornPaw off and stumbled out the battle clearing in a struggle as his now cloudy eyes gushed off blood, AdderPaw snarled in anger and turned to see ThornPaw. QuietShade chased off the remaining ShadowClan cat with ease, he stalked back to his leader's side and sat down cleaning a wound on his shoulder. "Why did you help me?" AdderPaw demanded as his eyes narrowed, ThornPaw spat pieces of LightWings fur out with disgust. "I couldn't stand by and watch you die, he would've snapped your neck in an instant you flea brain." ThornPaw boldly retorted, AdderPaw stared at his brother in shock yet after a few minutes he turned and jumped into the bushes behind him. ThornPaw sighed and shook his head then sat in front of his leader," He will never say thank you." QuietShade muttered to the apprentice. "I know, I don't expect one at all." ThornPaw shrugged, QuietShade nodded and sighed. "Let's get to the medicine den." DustStar muttered after a few moments, QuietShade beckoned ThornPaw to follow him while DustStar sat alone for a little. DustStar gave a trembled sigh as he looked at the blood-splattered grass, he crouched down and nuzzled his nose into his paws. The white Tom with brown speckles felt as if he couldn't succeed as a leader if his son was going to cause chaos, he trembled as a wave of stress washed over his fur...Drenched with the smell of problems, he jolted up as he felt a tap on his shoulder. He gave a relieved smile as he meet the light blue gaze of StormingLeap, she shook her head as she saw the troubled gaze of her mate. StormingLeap laid her head over his shoulder as she gave purrs of comfort, he laid his head on her shoulder in return and closed his eyes as comfort washed the feeling of stress away.

"It's just...I feel terrible as a leader to have a roguelike son.." DustStar admitted. "I understand but we must strive through that...We mustn't dwell upon our wounds,we must roll on through our struggles like the strong leader and deputy we are." StormingLeap prompted DustStar,she pawed his chin up to make him sit straight and honorably. "Now, let's return to camp at once. We have a gathering in just a few days but this ShadowClan raid could mean trouble stalking ahead." StormingLeap ordered firmly, she brushed her tail against his face as she strolled by him. DustStar smiled grateful for StormingLeap, he trotted into his camp through the gorse tunnel with his tail and head held high. The lean Tom leaped upon high rock, StormingLeap nodded as she sat upon deputy rock with a tall position. "May all cats old enough to race amongst the moor gather around the high rock to hear my words." DustStar echoed his voice loud and clear, his cats quickly gathering around. "I have just returned from a battle between three ShadowClan cats caught in our territory near the gorge," DustStar announced loudly and waited for his clan to settle down their muttering down, "I'm proud to announce that AdderPaw caught them before any other cat did." DustStar dipped his head with a small slice of pride. "Though I am alarmed of an upcoming problem between our clan and ShadowClan, even worse since there will be a gathering in just a few days." DustStar shared his problems briefly with his clan, they gave slow nods of understandable shifts as they gazed to their honorable leader. "What will we do, DustStar?" RavenWing piped up with a worried stare, DustStar shifted his gaze to the young warrior and thought for a good moment. "We will just have to wait and see I suppose." DustStar gave a shaky sigh as he replied, at last, RavenWing and BarkWing gave each other concerned glances then dipped their heads. "For now, I want our warriors to spend all their time on rebuilding our camp while still getting prey and resting enough. I demand all queens and apprentices to help, if possible the elders can help the clan a small bit." DustStar lifted his head higher with a sharper gaze upon his cats, all the cats gave sharp-witted nods with narrowed eyes of determination. With a swig of an ear, the meeting was dismissed, the cats rushed off to rebuild the camp with newly gained hope. DustStar leaped off the high rock, licking StormingLeaps ear as she passed by with a patrol consisting of RavenWing and BarkWing. DustStar sat in the entrance of his den as the last of sun-streaked behind the milky clouds like a bright spontaneous lion cub being covered by his mother's light cream paws. The noble leader gave a hopeful smile as his warriors raced after each other to build the apprentices den, the very last den they had to rebuild while two queens worked hard to rebuild the last of the camp walls. At moon rise the patrol had returned with prey clamped within their jaws,"Anything to report?" DustStar called after the three fast as they passed to the fresh kill pile. "Oh starclan.." StormingLeap shook her head with tired eyes as she and the two young warriors padded towards DustStar, the lean leader flicked his ears forward with curiosity of what had troubled his three cats while on their patrol. "We found and drove off three ShadowClan apprentices!" RavenWing spat furiously as he thought back to the ShadowClan apprentices they had encountered, DustStar leaned forward to prompt the cats to speak more. "As far as we know we didn't see any warriors along with them,and we searched the whole of our territory." BarkWing added,DustStar nodded slowly as he was deep in his thoughts about these random ShadowClan raids. Then...Suddenly it clicked in DustStars mind,his eyes widened in horror as his ears flattened upon his sleek head. "Are you alright, DustStar?" StormingLeap worryingly asked him as he stared with wide eyes,he slowly nodded with unreadable eyes. "Meeting,now.." DustStar muttered with dismay,he sprang upon the high rock in a single bound with his fur bristled. StormingLeap sat upon her smaller rock with a confused glance to DustStar,he gave a loud yowl that summoned all his clan...Except AdderPaw...
