McDanno Daughter One Shots

The Mission

Mias POV (14 Years Old)

"Hey Danno?" I asked as I walked in to the kitchen and leant on the kitchen counter "can I go to my friends for a sleepover on Saturday night?" I asked hopefully,

"That depends" he said shrugging his shoulders "which friend?" He asked,

"Hallie" I told him and he thought for a second,

"Ok, as long as it's fine with her parents it's fine with me" he agreed and I smiled before giving him a hug,

"Thanks Danno" I said and he nodded "have you heard from dad yet?" I asked as I pulled away from him,

"Erm, no not yet sweetie" he said and I nodded with a slight frown "but you know your father the 'super SEAL'" he joked "he'll be fine" he assured and I nodded hoping that he was right.

My dad had been away on some kind of mission for the past two weeks. The only thing is that no one knows where.

Flashback

"Mia" I could feel someone call my name and pulling me out of a dreamy sleep "Mia wake up baby girl" I flinched my eyes open to see my dad at the side of my bed fully dressed and with a backpack,

"Dad?" I asked dazed and confused "what time is it?" I questioned as I rubbed my eyes,

"About 3:30am" he said and my eyes widened "listen I've gotta go somewhere for a little while" he told me and I frowned,

"Go where?" I asked confused,

"I can't tell you" he sighed "I don't know how long I'm gonna be so I want you to know that I love you very much" he said as he brushed some of my hair away from my eyes,

"I love you to" I said with tears in my eyes as my dad pulled me in to his chest and kissed the top of my head,

"You be good for Danno ok" he said "make sure he stays out of trouble" he joked and I laughed slightly,

"Please be safe" I pleaded as he cupped my face in his large hands,

"You know me. Always am" he smiled and I nodded,

"Now try and go back to sleep" he said as he turned my bedside lamp back off,

"Bye daddy" I said as I laid back down,

"Bye baby" he replied before I saw him leave my room. I held back a sob as I heard his military boots tread down the stairs and the sound of the front door closing firmly shut.

I finally allowed myself to let out a long breathy sob as I processed what had just happened. I wiped my eyes with my hand before climbing out of my bed and walking over to my dad and Dannos' room. The light was off but I saw Danno lying with his eyes wide open staring at the ceiling. He heard me enter because he looked up to see my tear streaked face and gave me a light smile,

"C'mere kiddo" he said as he opened his arms and I climbed in to their bed and clung to Danno. I could still feel the warmth of where my dad had been lying and the smell of his cologne on the pillows as I cried in to Dannos bare chest.

End of flashback

"Earth to Mia" Danno snapped me out of my thought by waving his hand in front of my face,

"Sorry what?" I asked and he shook his head,

"I asked if you wanna eat out tonight" he said and I nodded,

"I think that would probably be for the best" I stated "I mean, we don't want you to burn the house down" I said and he whacked the back of my head playfully,
