unimaginable

3 1 3

torn paper and run on sentences
rainy days and faded letters of a book
a pen, that has no more ink to run on

they all tell a story of their own
that pen has told a million
the oldest that have no more left to give,

always have the most to tell
that torn paper, has seen an unimaginable amount
the sentences, so much to tell but not put together well enough for one to understand
they mean so much

those letters, told a story that caused the gods to weep unintelligibly

their figures, deceiving us all
if only we looked past and realized how
much they are truly worth

the dust covered the diamond
but the miners still found it
and it was worth thousands
