🌟Two🌟

The young male glanced at his best friend as he sipped his coffee. Yoongi took Nina to a cafe so she could free her mind. Unfortunately, it wasn't working.

"Have you thought of what I said today at lunch?" The older asked as he looked at her side profile as she kept her focus outside the window.

The female high schooler looked away from the window and looked opposite her to glance at Yoongi.

"Do you mean when you said I should be happy?" She stirred her ice-cold macchiato with her straw.

Yoongi nodded his head as he looked at her while he drank more coffee.

"How do you expect me to be happy when I don't feel that emotion anymore?"

His chest clenched painfully for a moment at her words. No person should go through any sort of pain, even rejection.

Yoongi was determined to help his best friend become happy again, even if it was only for a moment. He couldn't answer her question since he never experienced the pain she was going through. Even so, he still held empathy for her in some way.

Running a hand through his hair again, the older apologized. He missed something that he would have been overjoyed to see. The most important detail that he missed was the smile that lit up her face. Yoongi finished his coffee.

"Are you finished?" He asked Nina while glancing at her cup before looking at her.

She nodded her head, the smile now gone from her lips. She handed him the empty cup, mouthing a thank you.

"You're welcome." The mint haired replied before he stood up and threw the rubbish in the bin.

Both friends walked home, but on the way, many thoughts crossed Yoongi's mind. He shook them away as he waved goodbye to Nina as she walked inside of her house.
