"Both of you should go to the hospital. I'll take care of things here"

Yoon-chul said, earning a nod from them as they quickly walked out and drove to the hospital where Rona was brought. Mirae held back her tears in silence, either of them not uttering a word due to the shock. Arriving, they instantly ran towards the ER

"Where is Bae Rona?"

Mirae asked to the administration counter as the nurse replied

"She just got into the operation room. You can wait at the waiting center over there"

They turned their gazes to the room that the nurse pointed at, thanking her as they rushed there. Yoon-hee was seen with her suit drenched in her daughter's blood. They looked at each other for a moment before running towards her. Yoon-hee heard their footsteps, turning her gaze from the room to them as Mirae stood in front of her

"How is she?"

Yoon-hee started to cry again as Mirae brought her into a hug. As much as she hated her, she knew that the woman needs it

"Don't worry, everything will be fine"

Mirae said, trying to assure her that Rona will survive. At the same time, trying to convince herself as well. Yoon-hee cried into Mirae's shoulder as the younger girl rubbed her back, calming the woman down

Hyunsik and Mirae had grew a bond with Rona throughout the two years, spending time together whenever they're free. Rona constantly reminded Mirae of Seol-a, therefore, she cared for her like she did to Seol-a

Mirae started to blame herself for what had happened to Rona

Logan sent them to keep her safe, but here they are. At the hospital because of an accident that either her or Hyunsik couldn't stop from happening

She blamed herself in silence

"You should sit first. The surgery will take a long time"

Hyunsik said as Yoon-hee nodded, sobbing as Mirae softly pushed her to the chair, helping Yoon-hee sitting herself on it. They stood there in silence, and hours passed by. The surgery took a long time like Mirae had expected

Mirae saw two people from the end of the hallway, walking towards them as Hyunsik turned their heads to the people from the hallway. There, they saw Mari and her daughter, Jenny, making their way towards them with a fresh changed clothes

Mari handed a box to Yoon-hee

"This is for Rona"

Yoon-hee cried again, taking it into her hands as Mari asked

"How is she? Did she wake up?"

Yoon-hee shake her head, crying as she buried her face into the box. Mari put her hand on Yoon-hee's back, rubbing it softly as Mirae weakly looked at Jenny who was in verge of tears

"Ms. Kang, Mr. Park. Rona will be okay, right?"

Jenny asked, tears started to form on her eyes, threatening to escape as Mirae brought her into a hug. The girl cried in her chest as Mirae rubbed her back. She knew that Rona is her first true friend who treated her like a real friend. She was bullied for a year just because she felt sympathy towards the girl throughout those years when Rona was left alone
