Chapter 7

"Hey Miranda can I talk to you real quick" Callie pulled her to an empty conference room

"What's up what's wrong" Miranda asked

"I don't think you should be with Ben anymore, I think y'all moving to fast you don't think y'all are?" Callie asked

"Callie, why do you say that?"

"I just feel like, you broke up with Eli and for no reason and you and Ben moved too quickly" she shrugged "and I don't want to see you get hurt Miranda"

"Well I don't think we did, I love him and he loves me. Ben wouldn't hurt me why can't you just be my best friend and be happy for me!" Miranda said upset as she walked out

"Hello"

"I'm going to tell you this one more time break it off with Miranda, she's starting to have feelings for you and you're letting it happen" Callie fussed

"And I told you, I'm not telling her anything and so what if she has feelings for me I have feelings for her so stop calling me and lose my number" and with that he hung up on her

"Please don't let this end badly" Callie sighed leaving the conference room

"Hey baby how was work" Ben said from the kitchen as he heard the front door being opened and the alarm being set

"It's was okay I guess what are you cooking" she said walking into the kitchen

"Why okay? And I'm making spaghetti and meatballs" he looked at her

"Ben....do you think we moved too quickly into all of this" Miranda asked sitting at the table

"What do you mean" he said checking the spaghetti noodles, but when she didn't answer he looked at her

"Miranda" called

"Yes" she answered looking down fidgeting with her fingers and promise ring

"What do you mean" he cut the stove off

"I was thinking and I kinda feel like we moved to fast" she sighed

"Why all of a sudden you feel like this" he asked getting upset

" no reason it's just that my friend said-"

"So you're going to let someone tell you what to do, and how to feel" he asked

"What no, I just thought-"

"Well don't think about anything, I love you with everything in me and you saying these things really hurt baby I love you and a don't want to loose you" he held her hands

"And you know I love you too" she stood up "so you don't think we're going too fast" she asked

"Not at all" he kissed her and she kissed him back

"Okay now can you finish cooking because I'm starving" she laughed

"I got you baby" he laughed and finished cooking

"No, no, no this can't be true" Miranda whispered as tears fell from her eyes while looking at the positive pregnancy test

"Okay I gotta be what 8 weeks" she said trying to calculate

"Miranda you okay in there" Ben said knocking on the door taking her out her thoughts

"Uh...yeah give me a second" she whipped her eyes and wrapping the test up in toilet paper putting it in her pocket. Washing her hands she opened the door

"You okay...what's wrong" Ben asked looking at her puffy eyes

"Nothing" she smiled looking at him

"Well why are your eyes puffy" he asked

"My allergies acting up that's all, I just need to take some medicine and I'll be fine" she smiled

"You sure" he wrapped his arms around her waist

"Positive"

"Will I get sick if I kiss you" he asked

"You can find out for yourself" she laughed kissing him.

"Okay Dr. Bailey your little bundle of joy is looking healthy and you're almost 9 weeks congratulations" the doctor smiled

"Thank you, and can you keep this on the hush side I don't need everyone in my business" she asked whipping her stomach

"Oh of course...so what are you hoping for?" She asked helping her off the table

"Umm a boy, because if I have a girl she's gonna act too much like me and I don't need that" she laughed

"Well fingers crossed, and we already set your next appointment you're free to go good luck"

"Thank you" she walked out of the room going back to work.

"Hey what are you doing here" Callie asked once she opened her front door

"I know we aren't seeing eye to eye right now but, I really need someone to talk to, and not judge me" Miranda said as tears filled her eyes

"Come in, okay so what's wrong" She asked walking them to the couch

"I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do, I mean one minute I'm happy about it and the next I'm scared" Miranda cried

"Well do you want to keep it?" Callie asked

"I do, but what if Ben doesn't want a kid, and I'll be stuck with raising it on my own" she cried some more

"You didn't tell him"

"I was going to but I came here instead"

"Go home and tell him" Callie got up

"Okay"

"And if he doesn't want the baby don't worry, I'll be here and your family will be here to help you" Callie hugged her

"Thank you Callie" Miranda dried her eyes and left.
