Introduction

I remember the day everything happened and when Cody Blake was in the accident that almost killed him, everybody does. People to this day still say different stories about what happened, Cody doesn't really ever talk about it.

But his one best friend Zach knows all about it. The school day started as an early day when arriving at school and going to first period, the buzz around class was Cody was hit by a truck while Cody was drunk driving, "Okay, Everybody, I want to clear this up!" Zach says standing on one of the desks, "Cody, sadly was in an accident, drunk driving, I went to visit him at the hospital yesturday, he's fine" People sigh of relief, but I still listen, "But, Since he was drunk driving, he is going to be arrested" everybody gasp and whisper to one another.

That happened three years ago, Cody was released from juvi. People still make up stories about what happened.

"Ariel wake up, Ariel! You really want to be late for your first day of being a Senior!" I feel somebody shaking my shoulder, "Go Away," I mumble and roll over, "You better be up the next time I come back up here" I hear my Dad say, I hear him leave the room.

I open my eyes to the brightness of my light, I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom to take a shower. I grab a towel and wrap myself in it, I look at myself in my mirror, I see my long brown curly hair already curling into wringlets, I hurry and grab my blow dryer and straightner. I look through my closet and get ready. I grab my eyeliner and lightly put it on my eyelid and put on a thick layer of mascara. I grab my backpack and run downstairs to see my dad already waiting for me.

"I don't know what takes you girls so long to get ready..." I chuckle at my Dads comment. We walk out of the house and get into the car, "So, the talk around the station is Cody is coming back into school today," My dad is the towns sheriff he knows basically everything around town, and it's not to small either, "Yeah, that's the talk around school too,"

"Well, I just want you to know that you should be nice, he's going through a hard time, and probably needs a friend,"

"Why are you being so nice about it? He was drunk driving remember!?"

"Needless to say Ariel, you should be nice to everybody" I roll my eyes and peer out the window, I see my school, we pull up to the front of the school, I jump out of the car, "Have a good day, Remember be nice to-" I slam the door before he could finish and wave back at him when I'm about to walk in.

I look around to see my friend, Emily, I go sit down next to her, "Em! I missed you"

"Missed you too! Did you hear that Cody is coming back today?!" Emily, liked Cody a little bit but now she liked Zach, They were such great friends three years ago... It was like double trouble but Zach saw Cody making out with his sister, once again what a player.. "Yeah that's what I heard too.."

Just then I see Cody walk through the doors his guy crowd swarms around him, he still looks like the douchebag he looked like 3 years ago... I was hoping he would have changed a slight bit.. Oh wait were talking about Cody Blake..
