The dark streets of the city are deserted and quiet, except for the occasional whirring of cars flying by. Drunkards stumble blindly from alpha bars and omega strip clubs, their humane senses dulled and primal senses enhanced. The only things that would let another know of their presence is the soft moonlight, the dimly lit streetlights that do little to light up the city, or the strong smell of alpha. A deep and rich scent that numbs the senses of omegas and betas alike, leaving them submissive and ready to be taken and used to some rogue and corrupted alpha's liking.

You had seen it on the news hundreds of times: random alpha's taking advantages of omegas, even betas. It sickened you, and you were thankful that you had never been placed in a situation like that before. But now? That was a possibility.

You sprint down the street, satchel slung across your shoulder and hands tugging your jacket closed in a poor attempt to stop your sweet omega scent from filling the streets. The zipper to your jacket had broken while you were changing out of your work clothes.

At first, you weren't worried about this small mishap. It was late at night, and it wasn't likely many stragglers would be out. If anything, they would have already been passed out in the bar or taking a taxi home. They wouldn't be out roaming the streets, looking for trouble.

Though, it just so happened to be the birthday of the number one hero, and all of Japan was celebrating it. Posters and flyers informing civilians about this event were plastered everywhere, and bars were filled to the brim of civilians discussing the heroes of today.
