Chapter Twenty

Last week on constant smile- Denki isn't smiling as much any more, doesn't have time between passing out and getting tortured by The man, while Hitoshi is planning to rescue Denki.

"So what do we know so far?" Mina started. "Denki's missing." Mina nodded. "Right and now we have to look deeper than that, was he kidnapped, did he leave, does he have any enemies?" Everyone sat quiet for a while as they thought about anything that could help them, everyone but Hitoshi. He wished it wasn't true but it was their only hint. "His dad might of kidnapped him." The whole group snapped their necks in Hitoshi's direction. "What do you mean?" Kiri said, speaking for the whole group. "His dad was abusive which was why he was going to therapy. I thought the dad was in jail but it could be him." They were all shocked, even Bakugō. Then Sero spoke up, "I read something about a jailbreak at potato prison." Hitoshi put his head in his hands. "That's the one." Kiri mumbled "Fuck." "Now that we know, we can go tell Aizawa we know who took Kami." "And then what?" Bakugō inquired. "They're gonna say we don't have enough evidence and that we're wasting their time and all that shit.I say we take matters into our own hands and find Mr Electric ourselves." The group slowly nodded. Bakugō stood up next to the white board where Mina was standing before. "Okay first we gotta find information about this guy: Pinkie, you should be good at that nice you always seem to know everything." Mina smirked and nodded. "Tape face we need someone to hack into surveillance systems around the city and use some program to look out for the guy once Ms Alien has a photo of him." Sero saluted Bakugō. "Aye aye si-" He was cut off by Bakugō hitting him over the head with a white board marker. "Eiji, you gather trusted people to join the force, make sure they're reliable." "Hey how come we get stupid nicknames but-" Bakugō hit Sero on the head again and then turned to Hitoshi. "Eyebags, you tell me more about Wizz fizz's dad e.g. his behaviour, is he crazy, what, in detail, was their relationship like and so on." Bakugō looked around the room. "Well don't just sit there, get to it."

Denki sat in his own pool of blood, he just stopped screaming when the door opened. He didn't think it was the vile creature because he only just left. A light was shined in his eyes making him squint while he struggled to stay awake with the amount of pain he received from his arm cracking the wrong way. "Well he's not dead but Mr speed sure put some dents in him." Denki could barely make out who was there but it seemed to be two people in black trench coats. "That's fine but will he be okay for the plan?" The person standing above the broken boy nodded. "Should be good." The person standing in the door way cackled, "Excellent." After that they both exited the cell of a room, leaving Denki in absolute darkness. Although he'd had worse injuries it still hurt like a bitch. He tried to stand but wasn't able. As soon as Denki fell back down to the ground, he passed out.

Light sneaked it's way into Denki's eyes causing him to sit up violently. "You're finally up." With light filling the whole room, after his eyes adjusted, Denki could see the man standing above him. "Boss said I can't break any more of your bones so I guess I should tell you why I brought you here." The man kicked Denki hard in the stomach. "Didn't say that I couldn't hurt you though." He circled the boy like a shark. "As you know I got arrested, which was all your fault, everything's always your fault, might I add. And in prison I met a bunch of people. Those bunch of people have been looking for someone who has an electric quirk " Denki curled into a ball, trying to protect some of his vital organs as the man proceeded to kick him repeatedly. "And when I told them I knew someone with that specific quirk, I got invited into their plans straight away." The man dragged Denki to the back wall and sat him up properly. "You're gonna be our power source for the whole operation." He punched Denki in his already dislocated jaw. "You deserve no love, you are only a tool that is used by other people for their personal gains. The only reason someone might care if you died would be that it would be annoying for them to find another tool. Your own mother didn't love you, she was going to leave without you." The man left as Denki's breath quickened. All those moments. All those moments with his friends they were just using him? What about Hitoshi? Did that kiss mean nothing? Surely not, the monster was just making stuff up. You're a tool. G-go away. You know he's right. Shut up, please shut up. No one will ever love you, you dampen every room you're in. Then why do my friends hang around me. Because they use you as their personal joke. What about Hitoshi, why does he hang around me? Because he takes pity on you and he uses you for his own pleasure. You're wrong, I don't believe you. Why do you think you're still here? It's because no one's looking for you. It's because you deserve no love. Denki couldn't take it anymore. He bled tears into his shaking hands while the world shook beneath his eyes. With a shortness of breath and blurry eyes, Denki had his first panic attack in months. Rocking back and forth in a ball of anger at the monster who took him, love for the boy who helped him out of a similar situation, confusion from what the voices in his head were telling him and absolute fear as he didn't know what was going to happen next. It became too much for Denki's mind, all the leap frog from one thought to the next, with one last look into the bleary darkness the yellow haired boy passed out.

Four hours later the bakusquad reconvened in Kiri's dorm. "Okay now we got all our info, fairy floss you're up first." Mina stood in front of the board, "Before Itsuki Kaminari was arrested he had a few business jobs but was always fired because of him turning up to work drunk. It was hard to find anything on this guy though, it's as if someone has purposely deleted a bunch of info." Kiri thought for a second. "Could he be working with someone?" Mina nodded. "It's very possible." Bakugo turned his head to Kiri. "How many people did you find that could join us?" Kiri pulled out a list. "I've recruited Tsu, Jirou, Momo, Todoroki and Midoriya." Bakugō lightly glared at Kiri. "Why the fuck would you invite that nerd?" Kiri gave a 'duh' face. "Because he's got a powerful quirk and is great at analysing people's quirks." Bakugō rolled his eyes, not wanting to admit he was right. "Did you find anything?" He said to Sero. "Nothing as of yet but I'm working on it." Sero's eyes lit up with realisation. "Could the people he is working with be the same people he broke out of prison with?" Hitoshi nodded tiredly, "It's very possible." Sero stood up. "I've got to go search those people up and put them on the alert system." As he left, Bakugō looked at Hitoshi. "You can say to the group what we discussed." The purple haired boy slowly stood up. "Denki's dad is a crazy fucking lune. He beat Denki to almost death multiple times, scarred him for life and mentally fucking him up. My idea is that he either wants revenge because we put him in jail or some other need or use." Kiri spoke up, "How can you keep such a calm face when you're talking about this?" Hitoshi shrugged. A calm face was easy, a calm head not so much. They all agreed to meet tomorrow to form a plan of action aka how they were gonna get him. When Hitoshi got back to the dorm he sat on Denki's bed. He inhaled a shaky breath and leaned back until his head hit the pillow. 'Why would someone who had already gone through so much have to deal with this shit again? Why is the world like this?' He wished the whole world would just set a light and he could just watch it burn. One thing he would do though would be to kill all the fuckers who hurt Denki, if it was the last thing he'd ever do.

Or will it be too late, will Denki be too far gone to be saved or should I say too drained...? Couldn't find the dad's name so I looked up Japanese names.
