Chapter 1

It was just another day. Nothing special. I was with my best friend Amalia. We had been friends for almost 11 years. We were sitting in math class. I was bored, so I decided to rip some paper off of my workbook and throw it to Amalia. I threw it and it landed on our teacher's desk. Our teacher looked up to see who it was and I realized everyone was staring at me. Our teacher put me in detention. I was pretty cool with it until I realized that I had to go to badminton practice today. It was the last time before summer break so I wouldn't miss it even if it meant skipping detention. We usually have fun and do whatever we want when it's the last practice before summer break.

The bell rang and everyone left. Except for me, the teacher and Amalia. Our teacher asked Amalia to please leave but of course she didn't. Our teacher's name was Nicole but we always called her Nikki. I sat in detention and did some of the homework I had due tomorrow. Nikki then suddenly left. Amalia said that we should just leave since Nikki also left, but I insisted on staying because Nikki could come back at any moment. Nearly 45 minutes had passed and we started to worry. Amalia got up to go to the toilet. She was at the door when she slowly turned around with wide eyes and something in her hand. I couldn't really see what it was. She went back to me and showed me what it was. It was two rings. They were the prettiest rings I had ever seen. Amalia said that we should put them on to see how it looked on us. I said yes because I didn't want to argue and they looked really pretty. So we put them on and nothing happened so we kept them on. But little did we know that those rings would change our lives forever.

Chapter 1 - The beginning

I opened my eyes to see blue. I looked to my sides to see where I was. On my Left the only thing I saw was blue. I looked to my right to see Amalia with me. It was a weird feeling of wind blowing on my body, so I decided to look down to see if i recognised the place. That was when I realized that we were falling and probably would be for the next long time, so I decided to close my eyes, and let my body slowly fall down just hoping I would still be alive when I tried to open my eyes again.

woke up with a strange feeling. It was like I was laying on grass. I looked to my sides to see Amalia beside me. Guess I was right we were laying in the grass. I sat up to look around and see if I could recognize the place. I couldn't recognize the place at all. We were in some strange field with black flowers. I tried to wake Amalia up, but it didn't work. I walked around for a while to see if there was anything I recognized. Again no luck. I went back to Amalia to see if she was awake. She was and was just as confused as I was. I helped her up and she almost fell. We started laughing because she was clumsy. Whenever we were walking in the hall she would always trip and/or drop her books. I told her about the weird dream I had where we were falling. She said that she also had the exact same dream but when she was and I was asleep then something touched my ankle. I screamed at the top of my lungs and looked down to see what it was that had touched me. It was some kind of blue thing? Like a tail. I looked behind me and saw this giant creature and it was blue. I couldn't move. I was too scared and then I heard something or someone walk past me. I couldn't see what it was because I was too focused on the giant blue thing in front of me. I could feel my eyes slowly closing and my body relaxing until I couldn't stand. Just as my body was about to hit the grass I passed out.

I woke up with a gasp thinking I was home. I looked around but I couldn't recognize a thing. Amalia spoke to me with a soft voice. I couldn't understand a single word but it somehow was comforting so I didn't care. Her hand brushed against my cheek. My cheeks slowly turned a pinkish color. I reached out for her hand. Our hands slowly melted together while her hand still was brushing against my cheek. Her face was slowly moving towards me. My face turned red as she got closer to me. Her lips were about to touch mine "yeah yeah enough with that lovey dovey stuff" a deep male voice said. Amalia quickly moved away from me in shock. We both looked to our left to see who was saying that. It was some kind of a dragon figure, and it was blue? We were clearly both in schok.  Me and Amalia were both stared at the creature that was now walking away from us. Well are you two coming or are you just going to lay there? We both stood up as quickly as we possibly could and ran after the blue dragon. "Ugggh when are we there?!" Amalia said while gasping for air. I giggled. "Only a few more minutes," the blue dragon said. We walked in silence until I said "hey um blue dragon?" The blue dragon was laughing at me. I looked up at him and said "well i don't know your name" The blue dragon looked back at me and told me that i didn't need to know his name. Hmpf I said while looking at him. He smirked at me and then looked away. Fine then! I'm just going to call you The annoying blue dragon! He looked at me annoyed and then looked at Amalia that now almost couldn't stand on her feet and said "fine..My name is Nyx happy now?" I didn' say anything i just smiled at him. Amalia looked at him surprised and yelled "AWEE THAT'S SUCH A CUTE NAME!" I finished a bit "Amalia I've never heard you scream that loud" I said shocked. She looked at me and smiled in embarrassment. We continued walking in silence.
