taehyung quietly walks beside the man who seems tensed but before taehyung can speak the man beats him to it

"are we good?" jungkook says looking at him directly in his eyes "mhm" he short replies "i dont think so" jungkook looks away noticing they are at the playground they used to play at as kids, it was around 5 pm so there were no one besides them at the park, he pulls taehyung gently and they both sat at the swings side by side

"remember when we used to race to see who gets here faster? you always lost too!" jungkook happily recalls their memory which remains a pout from taehyung "well what about when we used to try the monkey bars, you were too tiny to reach it" he tries to tease jungkook as well "boohoo well im taller than you by two inches now, i still win" he feels defeated so he just lightly smacks the younger on his arm "brat" he says

jungkook glances at him with a smile "brat you love" taehyung looks at his eyes now "hm, brat i love so much" he reaches out for taehyung's hand and intertwines it with his "was it about earlier? believe me i don't like lia, nor i find her interesting" he assures the other but taehyung gives a little laugh and shakes his head "dork, it's not that, i know you're honest with me" he trails what he was about to say so jungkook reaches out for his cheeks to make him look again, so he continues "i feel like i don't deserve you" which jungkook immediately shakes his head in opposition to before the younger can counter taehyung continues "i'm just me jungkook, i've got so many issues, my family, my self, everything about me is messy, you deserve better than this, we can't even go public because im too scared" he shakily says as a tear falls out from his eye

jungkook immediately wipes it and brings himself in front of taehyung crouching to see taehyung eye to eye "what makes you think that? taehyung we've been bestfriends since birth, i grew up with you, i've met so many people but no one compares to you, i don't deserve someone like you? yes i don't, because you are taehyung the most amazing person on earth, the person i look up and adore the most, but i also want us to deserve each other's love, you make me so happy taehyung so happy you don't understand" he rants out as he feels a little mad because he heard the person he loves the most question himself

taehyung just shakes his head and speaks again "but i want you to experience a love where you can brag with anyone, while with me, im nothing but shameful and afraid" jungkook wipes his tears again and kisses both the back of his hands "i don't care about what love or what i can brag about, i want your love and i want to love you, that's the only love i wish for, you are love itself for me" taehyung sobs with jungkook's sweet words "and baby i don't care if we go public or not, as long as we're together that's all what i need" the older couldn't help it anymore he reaches out to hug jungkook who continues whispering comforting words to him as he sobs "i love you jungkook" he says as he hiccups from sobbing too much "i love you too, more than love baby"

"what?!" seokjin screams as he looks at his two friends holding hands while the others had their jaws parted well except for jimin who was just looking at the two warmly "sorry for not telling you sooner guys" taehyung meekly says a tint of blush shown in his face "is that why jungkook has always avoided flirting with anyone" yoongi says as he puts a palm on his forehead "you guys really got us" hoseok says looking around like he's dreaming "and you jimin why are you just giggling there?" seokjin questions him

"dumbass i knew" and the others gasped in disbelief once again

at the end taehyung gathered the courage to show the world his love for jungkook, or their love for each other rather. despite having so many fears he knows jungkook will always be by his side to accept him and stand by him, a love that both of them wishes for and they deserve.
