The Wizard had the balloon prepared for us to go home to. But, before we left, the Wizard announced that he was leaving Tinman, Lion, and Scarecrow in charge of Oz until he comes back from his journey. But specifically, Scarecrow was put in charge of everything with Lion and Tinman as his assistants. That's a lot of duties to give someone but I'm sure Scarecrow can do it.

Just as we were about to leave, Toto started to bark at someone's cat and jumped out of Dorothy's arms. Seeing this, both of us got out to go get him and told the Wizard to wait for us. But the Wizard started to float away just as we got Toto back. We begged him to come back but he didn't know how to work that balloon. So, we're stranded here!

"Oh, now we'll never get home," Dorothy said sadly

"Stay with us then. We all love you both. We don't want you to go," Lion said

"Well, that's very kind of you. But this could never be like Kansas. Auntie Em must have stopped wondering what happened to me by now. Oh, Scarecrow what am I going to do?"

Scarecrow looked around when he saw something, "Look! Here's someone who can help you!"

It was a bubble. The same bubble that we saw Glinda arrive in the first time! She landed a bit away from us and all the people who had come to see us off bowed to her. She walked over to us.

"Oh, will you help us? Can you help us?" Dorothy asked

"You don't need to be helped any longer. Dorothy always had the power to bring you both back to Kansas," Glinda said smiling

"She has?" I asked surprised

"Then why didn't you tell them before?" Scarecrow asked

"Because they wouldn't have believed me. They had to learn it for themselves," Glinda said smiling

"What have you learned?" Tinman asked Dorothy specifically

"Well, I think that it... that it wasn't enough just to want to see Uncle Henry and Auntie Em. And it's that if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again I won't look any further than my own backyard. Because if it isn't there I never really lost it to begin with. Is that right?" Dorothy asked Glinda

"That's all it is," Glinda said nodding

"But that's so easy! I should've thought of it for you," Scarecrow said

"I should've felt it in my heart," Tinman said

"No, they had to find it out for themselves," Glinda said, "Now those magic slippers will take you home in two seconds."

"Oh, Toto and (Y/N) too?" Dorothy asked

"Toto and (Y/N) too."

"Now?"

"Whenever you wish."

This is amazing but now it doesn't seem real. Do you ever have that moment in your life where life doesn't seem real? Like after you leave the theater after a stage show or a film. Well, that's how I'm feeling at the moment. I don't want to leave our friends but I want to make sure Dorothy gets home safely so I have to. But I'll never forget them, that's a promise. And, to make sure I don't forget, I'll write about my adventure. I never want to forget our friends. So, we said our goodbyes to everyone.

Scarecrow and I shared a hug. If anything, Scarecrow and I got on very well. Well enough that I didn't want to say goodbye to him. Once we had that sorted, Dorothy took us home after Glinda told her what to do. I woke up in Dorothy's house, in the guest room. I guess they probably found me under the bed because they all made out like Dorothy and I never went to Oz. But the house had definitely moved so maybe we did go to Oz. But I only woke up because Dorothy's Aunt woke me saying an appraiser came and said the house was unsafe.

It seems fine to me but I'm not going to argue. I need to check on my home to see how bad it is. I left the house and went to my place where the appraiser was waiting for me. I went over and asked what was going on. He went on to explain that my house was a disaster area and that I'd have to pack my things and leave or he'd kick me out. Now I wish I stayed in Oz. I've heard a few times that I would have to be kicked out of my home but I have nowhere to go this time. I'd live with Dorothy and her family but I don't want to be a burden.

He left with his little henchman. I went inside to see what had survived and what I could possibly pack up. There wasn't much besides a few belongings and clothes. I suppose it'll have to do. I went outside to see Dorothy walking around the town. We met up and went to a hill nearby. She wished she knew how to fix everything so we didn't have to leave but she can't do anything to fix the damage which has been caused. I know how she feels. We sat down for a moment when Toto barked at something.

We turned to see a rainbow. But something wasn't right. The rainbow was moving. Not away from us like when you normally chase a rainbow, it was moving towards us! Realizing we weren't imagining this, we ran for it. We ran all the way to Dorothy's house while this rainbow chased us.

We went to the storm shelter where Dorothy fell but the rainbow caught her and dragged Toto and me with it! We slid down the rainbow before coming to a stop. From where we were, we could see that we were flying over the ocean in the rainbow. Dorothy stuck her hand through to feel it when we heard a voice.

"(Y/N)! Dorothy! Hi, you two!"

We looked up to see Scarecrow but he had changed! We've only been gone a few hours and he looks so dapper but still himself. I don't know what color he was wearing because his whole appearance was gold at the moment but he was wearing a tailcoat now with two badges or medals on a ribbon bar. He was looking great!

"Scarecrow?" I asked shocked

"What is this? What's happening?" Dorothy asked

"We're flying you two back to Oz in a rainbow mover. I invented it," Scarecrow said proudly

"Show-off," Lion said

"Cowardly Lion?" Dorothy asked

"It's just Lion now," Lion roared for us, "See?"

"Oh, my."

"Dorothy. (Y/N)," Tinman said smiling

"Hi, Tinman," Dorothy said smiling

"I am so overjoyed to see you."

"You guys, dragging us into a giant rainbow really scared us," I said almost amused that they were acting so casual about it

"I can only imagine how you two must feel. Trapped alone in a giant rainbow. Surrounded by colors. It must be just horrible!" Tinman started to cry on Lion's shoulder

"Ever since he got his heart, he's been all over the place," Scarecrow explained

"I never had emotions before. I just want to try them all out," Tinman said before going back to crying.

"Scarecrow, did you fix yourself up while we were gone?" I asked

"I did. But it's been a few years for us so I made the most of it by cleaning myself up and creating this Rainbow Mover," Scarecrow said smiling

"You look amazing," I smiled

"Thank you but we don't have much time. There's trouble in Oz, and only you... threatening the land... and you are the only one who can stop him..."

I couldn't tell what he was trying to say because he was cutting off. We heard banging in the background as Scarecrow told the others to seal off one of the doors.

"What's going on?" I asked

"Hang on, (Y/N). We'll explain everything when you get here," Scarecrow said fiddling with some controls that had appeared

"Where?"

"Emerald City! I-In the Wizard's chamber!"

He then disappeared leaving us alone. So, it's been years to them but only a few hours to us? What's happened? We didn't know because the rainbow was making us slide around again. We soon fell in a field. We're back in Oz! We tried to get in the rainbow again but it left and disappeared. Looks like we're walking from here. This time it will be worth it. The guys are in trouble and we have to help them. Although, something tells me this isn't a Wicked Witch this time. I'm sure Scarecrow will explain when we get there. I hope they're okay.
