Fans and magazine lovers worldwide were stunned and in awe when Hana was featured on the magazine cover of VOGUE: New Year's Edition. With the dub she was given on the cover, The Queen of Game Changer, over 3 million physical copies of the magazine were sold in 24 hours.
What made the magazine and Hana become the talk of the town?
Hana broke stereotypes and was dubbed the game-changer. The VOGUE interview focuses on what Hana is uncomfortable about and hopes that someday, she can embrace it and accept it.
Coinciding with her photoshoot, she talked about her physical appearance, which became her insecurities. She admitted in the interview that when her puberty came, she wasn't the most beautiful person. She continued;
"Even today, I am not a beautiful person. I am not a perfect person outside and inside. I'm not a person who really wants to take care of my appearance. I'm a very free person, doesn't care about my appearance most of the time."
In the photo session, she wore matching underclothing. It was a very simple yet influential photoshoot because she herself showed her insecurities to inspire other people, especially her fans. With no makeup on, Hana is still a beautiful and inspiring woman.
Hana became trending in over 50 countries worldwide for her inspiring quote during her VOGUE interview.
"Female or male. Transgender or binary. Gay, straight or bisexual, you're gorgeous."
Her VOGUE interview inspired millions of women and men around the world. Hana also uploaded a few other photos that were not in the magazine on her Instagram and Twitter page, with the caption;
"Let us continue to inspire each other. Appreciate yourself. I still have the difficulties to embrace my insecurities, but with each other's support, I believe all of us can love ourselves more. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this is our goal for 2024. Let us all continue to inspire each other. Your one and only, Choi Hana."
Her posts got over 6 million likes on Instagram, and even celebrities such as Adam Levine, Chris Martin, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift were seen liking the post to support the New Year's goal.
K-Pop idols such as BLACKPINK members, NCT members, CL, and BTS also liked her post on Instagram and Twitter accounts to support the New Year's resolution.
