chapter 6

The life I used to have

Derek POV

"Unknown" blane said and I narrowed my eyes at him before rising up to my feet, I glared at him before shifting my gaze to the file he dropped on my table I grabbed it

Under the registration of the car---unknown

I threw the file away..making the papers in it spread across my offices..I raked my head through my hair in frustration before turning to blane... "leave now" I said sternly and he hurried out of my office..I fell into my chair and groaned loudly..

Where the fuck is she?

Jane POV

The comfort of my home is where I find peace, where I can escape from the tension of the world...I walked into my house and closed the door hearing it beep signalling that it was locked...five years ago I lost everything I found dear to me, and five years later I stumbled across the one person I was hell bent on never seeing again

DEREK

I should have killed him, I should have pulled that trigger and ended his life right there right then...but I couldn't  my fingers were on the trigger, I could have killed the man I once loved and the man I grew to hate, I could have fed my anger by killing him...

But I didn't

And it hurts to think that he still has an effect on me, he left me to die, he could have taken me to the hospital..but he looked at me and walked away, king found me, trained me, and trained my hate..king saved me, redeemed me while Derek left me to die, he broke me and shattered my trust and love for him..I can't just blink and pretend like it doesn't hurt..

Cause it does

More than getting shot or stabbed, wounds heal, but this doesn't... it doesn't just heal..it leaves a fucking scar

And scars don't fade easily

I fell into my soft couch and groaned at the softness of it, my back ached severely for all the work done today and my brain hurts as well for over thinking... the vibration behind me got my attention...I reached for the device that was constantly vibrating and pulled it out of my pants..the light from the phone had me squinting my eyes to see the caller..

Crystal

"Yeah" I answered  placing the phone on my ears

"Blade is dead!?" She screamed through the phone, I took it away from my ears for the sake of my ear drums before putting it back again

"Yeah" I answered, and I heard her sigh

"How is that even possible, blade is one of the best , killing her wouldn't have been that easy" crystal said...she has always been the smart one

"She tried saving me but got shot instead" I blurted out, a good lie couldn't find it's way into my head, the line went dead for a second or two..

"You killed her didn't you?" Crystals asked flatly through the phone, like I said, always the smart one..I sighed and sat up from my lying position

"She attacked me" I lied again, well technically half--lied...blade knew that i didn't kill Derek..so She was gonna try killing him and I wasn't gonna have that  and we'll probably fight and she'll probably kill me, so I fired first...you know what they say

Prevention before cure..or something like that

"Now that i believe..I always knew she hated you...are you okay?" She asked and I nodded even though I know she couldn't see me..

"It's been a tough day....I'll go to bed now" I said and I heard her sigh

"Are you coming to work tommorow?" She asked

"No..I have something to do tommorow" I said

"Okay..I'll see you on Sunday then" she chirped and I smiled

"Yes you will" i said

"Bye" she sang

"Bye

I withdrew the phone from my ears and dropped them on the couch, I stood up from the couch and let my legs lead me to the counter  where my laptop laid...for the past few weeks I've been planning on doing something, but yet again, I couldn't..I find myself typing the name but then deleting it half way as well...but not today

Today I'm gonna type the full name and press enter, the thing about working for king is that the gadgets comes with the job  you work for him, you get devices you only believe are found in movies... this laptop for one...this laptop can help you find anyone you want across the globe, all you have to do is type the person's name and vólia...you got yourself an Address

And today I was gonna use it  to find the one person that actually still mattered to me after all these years...I sat down on my counter chair and placed my fingers on the keyboard..no backing out now

My fingers ran across the keyboard typing the name of who I wanted to find...I took a deep breath and pressed enter..

"Three hours away" I whispered as I read the information

Spouse---sam wild

"Wait..what!?" I screamed staring closely at the computer, is there some kind of computer error or something...Sarah and Sam got married???

I shut the laptop and sighed leaning into my chair...now all I have to do is find her..but make such her measly husband doesn't see me...I might be in trouble if that happens...
