Chapter twelve | Morning

It was the next morning and I was the first one up, I look behind me and saw Cal still sleeping. I smiled at myself as I rethink about last night, softly removed Cal's hands off my waist and sat up. I quietly got off his bed and went to the living room where I left my phone. I turned on my phone and saw a text from my mom "Shit" I whispered anxiously, I quickly open messages and went to her contact

I let out a sigh, she just said good morning and good luck at school. Good she doesn't know I sneaked out to here. Knowing that she's already at work so I would be safe to go back home and change. Just in case she suspects anything, I went to Cecily contact after responding to my mother.

"If my mom asks anything say I stayed with you. PLEASE" I texted her and put my phone down on the table and went to the kitchen, I looked around and saw a coffee machine. I sleepily smiled and went to it. I did what I had to do and made myself some coffee.

Once it was quickly done I grabbed a mug from searching many cabinets for one. I poured the black coffee inside the mug and went to look for sugar and milk. I found the items and put them into my coffee as how I like it. I went my way to Cal's room and snooped around, I found a letter, me being nosy and bored, I looked at it and saw it from Rhode Island.

I heard some movements behind me and turned around, I saw Cal looking around but then his eyes laid into me

"Hey" I said sweetly and sat down in the bed, he sat up smiling at me still quiet tired "There's still some coffee left if you drink some" I said pointing outside his room "I'm good" He said with his raspy voice, already making me melt "Okay then" I took a sip of my coffee humming of how good it tasted

"Hm I was looking at your drawings, you're really good!" I complemented him standing up to look at the drawings again, I heard him chuckle behind me "Maybe a little too good" I said quietly and pointed at the drawings of Gabriela, now Vic's ex girlfriend and I'm hoping Cal's ex crush

"Ah" Cal groaned as he got up from the bed to the drawings of Gabby ripping off from the wall "Hopefully I'm there next" I said cheekily drinking my coffee, Cal rolled his eyes smiling at me. I went and sat down in his bed watching his throw away the wrinkled paper in the trash beside the desk

"What uh what were you doing?" Cal asked as he sat down in his chair crossing his arm on top of the chair "Just snooping" I shrugged my shoulders while taking another sip of my delicious coffee. "Ah, speaking of," I said pulling the mail out "Isn't this the Rhode Island thing you've been waiting for?" I asked him showing him the envelope

"Why haven't you opened it yet?" I asked now getting curious, I look down at the envelope then back at him. He just shrugged his shoulders

"I don't know I guess I wasn't too good of me to get bad news" He replied "Here give it to me" He held his hand out to me, I held the envelope up before giving it to him "Cause now you're in a bad mood?"

"Uh no" He said grabbing the envelope "Because now," he said as he opened the letter "Nothing conveys me" He smiled at me as he pulled the letter inside the envelope

He unfold the paper and began to read it, I saw his smile drop making my mood drop, he fold the paper how it was throwing it behind him as he looked at me "It's their lost"

"Aww no, I'm sorry" I said standing up and sat down on his lap putting the mug on the table in front of me. He looks up at me and wraps his arms around my waist "It doesn't matter" He shakes his head "I'm not worried"

"Well you shouldn't be. I mean you got the other don't you? UCLA?" He nodded his head, I place my hand into his face "Right. And it's still far away like you want it to be" I said sadly

"Mmhm and wherever we go we're gonna rule the world" He said making me look at him confused "We?" I asked him, His face broke into a smile once I asked that "Well, I guess you're welcome to come but I meant me and runt" I rolled my eyes and got off him "please" I laughed, I walked out his room to the living room "Wait" I heard Cal say behind me but I kept going. I grabbed my phone from the last placed it and saw Cecily texted me back

I opened my phone as I felt arms around my waist, oh I forgot to mention I went back to the same clothes from last night. I felt cold hands and rings against my skin "You're wearing rings?" I asked looking down at his hands "Heard you like them" I nodded and hummed "Indeed I do" I leaned against him as I texted Cecily back

I felt Cal's hand go up to my neck, I leaned my head back as I bring my hand up to his hair. I felt kisses on my neck, I tilt my head aside. "As much as I like this" I took a pause enjoying the pecks against my neck "But we got school" I told him letting go of his hair "Way to ruin the mood" He whispered in my ear, I laughed as he went to the kitchen. I watched him as he crush Runt's meds

My hands trails down to his hands that were just against my neck, I smirked turning around and grabbed any other things I brung "Brekkie" He called out to his dog for breakfast. I walked behind him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. I felt him walk behind me to my car. I turned around to him, he was closer than expected so I got a little bit back

We stayed staring at each other until he went forward placing his lips into mines. I immediately wrap my arm around his neck as his hands went to my waist. I shivered from his cold rings making me him giggle against my lips "What? Your rings are cold!" I hit him in the chest "I have to go" I told him and gave him another peck in his lips, I was gonna go to the driver side but Cal brung me back to him and kissed me longer. I, of course, melted into his lip "Seriously" I said into the kiss "I have to go" I backed out giggling "I'll see you at school" I blew him a kiss and went to the driver side

I got inside my car and waved at him, he waved goodbye with a huge smile on his face. I went back home and that smile never left my lips but I couldn't say the same with Cal
