I made the mistake of doing research after getting Carl. I found out that they needed at least a 5 gallon aquarium with a heater and filter. I ended getting a 10 gallon instead because at Walmart, the 10 gallon and 5 gallon are $4 apart. I got home, set it up and put him in the next day. I didn't know about the nitrogen cycle but he was fine. I didn't get a heater because i found some ways to heat up a fish tank without one but it didn't work. I then got a heater because of the trick not working.
