Avery's Pov:

My heart was racing I didn't want to go to a new school but it was for the better right?

I had moved places because my dad was very abusive to my mom and we had the chance to leave after he got drunk.

It was 6 in the morning.

"Ugh why is it so damn early!" I yelled.

I checked my phone and realized it was Monday.

"Oh right.." I groaned.

I got out of bed and put on some ripped jeans and a black crop top.

It's an all right outfit but it shows a lot of cleavage.

I put on some chapstick and grabbed my things and went to the kitchen.

My mom was cooking eggs and she looked happy..

"Good morning sweetheart." She said joyfully.

"Morning mom." I smiled while grabbing a piece of toast.

"Eggs?" She asked politely.

"No thanks ma I have to get going in 10 minutes." I answered.

I did really want some but I had just brushed my teeth.

"Alright." She said.

I sighed.

"Listen honey I know your still a little upset moving to a new place but it's for the better and I think your really gonna like it here I grew up here." She said joyfully.

"Yeah mom thanks I guess I'll get use to it." I replied.

I looked at the time I had to leave already.

"Oh shit i'm gonna be late." I said.

"Bye mom love you." I kissed her cheek and walked out the door.

I arrived at the school and I immediately felt eyes staring on me.

I looked at my paper trying to figure out where my class was.

I was walking and I felt a person bump into me.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!!" She said while picking up her stuff.

I stopped her and helped her.

"That's alright." I replied with a sweet smile.

She had black hair with brown eyes she looked like someone I could trust well.

"Your not mad.? She replied with a shaky voice.

"Of course not." I said giving her back her stuff.

I put my hand in the air.

"I'm Avery." I said with a joyful smile.

She looked happy.

"I'm Ruby." She said.

We shook hands and exchanged smiles.

"Do you think you could help me get to my next class I'm sorry I'm new here I just moved." I said.

"Of course!" She said joyfully.
