With only 4 seconds left till midnight, Mia felt an arm around her hips and when she looked up she saw Lando smiling at her. Within a split second Lando whispered in Mia's ears "There is no one I would rather spend my new year with than with you" And in the background people were screaming 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR. Lando and Mia looked at each other for a while but then shared a sweet new years kiss. Ria saw it all happening in the corner of her eye and made a picture of it.

After the kiss Lando took Mia's hand and said "Mia, can I talk to you for a second" He brought her up to his bedroom. Mia was a bit taken back because she wasn't ready to go that far already. Lando didn't realize it until he saw Mia's face expressions change "Shit Mia, It is not what you think like. I just want to talk to you in a place where the loud music doesn't cause for confusion." Mia nodded and without saying anything she sat down on Lando's bed next to him and took his hand into hers while looking at the floor. As Lando raised Mia's head he said "Look Mia, I just wanted to tell you that I am sorry if the kiss was too soon. I just wanted to tell you that it has been a while since I have met someone who makes me feel so comfortable with being myself. I hope we can explore things together in the future even if it means face-timing everyday because these past few days have been wonderful". All Mia could do is smile and answered "I would like to explore that as well" while she gave Lando a small kiss on his cheek. "Now that that is off my chest, let's go downstairs and party"Lando said. The two hugged and walked downstairs. People stared at the pair as they walked downstairs hand in hand. Mia did not like the feeling of people thinking that they had a quicky upstairs so she downed a few drinks to forget about it and have a good time.
People were slowly leaving until there were a few people left. As Ria went home around 4 in the morning, Lando wanted to call a cab for Mia but he didn't want her to be in a cab all alone while being too drunk. He picked her up and layed her in his bed, he gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before whispering "goodnight gorgeous". Lando did not lay in the same bed as he wanted to honor Mia's wishes with not taking things too fast. He Was almost settled on the couch when Mia woke up and said "Lando we are not kids, please join me" As he double checked he crawled into bed and within no time Mia was laying with her head on Lando's chest and they both fell asleep.
