Disbelief

Sadie's POV
I looked at the caller ID. Leo......

" Who is it? " Sophie asked. I showed her my phone and her expression went from calm to furious.

" Dont pick up " she said coldy. I sighed then nodded. My phone began to ring again. I hit ignore. It rang 3 more times, but I ignored them all. Another phone rang, but this time it wasn't mine. It was was Sophie's. She sighed in frusteration then picked up.

" What do you want? " she asked. I heard a muffle but it was cut off by Sophie and what she said shocked me.

" Honestly Leo just leave her alone! Sadie is so hurt becuase of YOU and YOUR girlfriend! Sometimes you are so dense! " she yelled then cut the phone.

" What did he say? " I gulped.

" He said that he wanted to apologize for Charrolette's actions, but he also asked why it bothered you so much " she spat. If only he knew.......

Tears rolled down my face. Sophie's eyes widened then she rushed over to me and hugged me.

" Sadie please dont cry!!! He isn't worth your tears! He is blind to not see how it bothered you. He is so dumb and dense sometimes " Sophie said sweetly at first then finished off annoyed. I wiped away my tears and returned the hug.

After a few hours I left Sopie's house. When I got home I crashed onto my bed. Ever since the mall insident Leo has been talking to Bella a lot. It seems like he is trying to apologize but Bella isn't listening to him. To be honest I dont think it was Leo's fault. He didn't know Bella liked him, and it wasn't his choice to date Charrolette. Bella doesn't even know if Leo liked her or not. If she wanted to be with him so badly then she should have just gone up to Leo and asked him out. Then that way she would have known what he really thinks. Wait what am I doing?!? Bella is my best friend and right now i'm going completely against her! But then again........

My thoughts were interupted by my phone ringing. It was Leo again. What should I do?!? Should I do what Sophie told me and just ignore it? But what if that makes it worse?!? Maybe I should just pick up and see what he has to say. Okay i'll do it. I hesitantly pressed answer and brought the phone to my ear.

" H-hello? " I said.

" Sadie! Oh boy you don't know how glad I am that you picked up! " Leo exlcaimed. I small smile spread across my face. It felt good to hear Leo sound so happy.

" Sorry I didn't pick up earlier " I said sheepishly.

" Don't worry about it. I would have done the samething "

" Oh yeah and sorry about Sophie yelling at you like that... "

" It's cool. Anyway is everything alright? You seem down lately "

" Everything is fine...... " I sighed.

" It's Charrolette isn't it? Or is it Bella? " he asked.

" I-it's nothing! I said i-i'm fine! " I exclaimed. There was a silence then I muttered a quiet sorry. Leo sighed heavily.

" Its okay, i'm just really worried. You broke down crying earlier and yeah........ "

" Well things have just been complicating lately. Thanks for caring its late now we should sleep. Goodnight " I said.

" Goodni.... " I cut the call before he could finish. I put my phone down and pulled up my covers. I nuzzled my face into my blanket as tears escaped my eyes. He cares.......he actually cared about me...........

That night I cried myself to sleep. The next morning I woke up and stared at my clock in disbelief. It was 9:00! I'm an hour late for school! I rushed into the shower and washed up quickly. I through on a pair of white skinny jeans, a mint green sweat shirt that had " 99 " on the back of it, I combed through my hair and left it open. I gathered my books and tossed them into my bag then zipped it up and slung it over one shoulder. I grabbed my phone, slipped on my boots, put on my coat, and headed out the door. It should be lunch soon so I didn't bother to eat anything.

When I got to school I made it just in time for English. I'm really glad I didn't see Leo today. I knew I couldn't avoid him forever. I have History today which really sucked. It's going to be so awkward! English was boring as usual it's weird Sophie wasn't here. She probably ditched class to go hang out with Dave. I smirked at my thought.

I walked towards the Cafèteria being extra careful which way I go. I turned the corner and instantly regretted going this way. Infront of me was Leo and Bella kissing..........

Hi! Sorry for the cliffhanger Hahahahah jk im not sorry about that! I actually found this chapter really interesting.... espcially the end.......
