Courtney walked up the hallway leading to her apartment. She saw a figure standing by her door.
The person heard the footsteps and faced her. She stopped dead in her tracks as she saw who standing there.
No way it was him. She wasn't ready to deal with him yet
"Abraham?"
"Hey, honey." He smiled his eyes scanning up and down her form.
Courtney just sighed, great.
She opened the door and went inside. "what are you doing here? I thought you weren't coming back till later."
"Well, I came back early cause I know you're mad at me, and I knew as a husband I needed to talk to you and fix things. Especially since you aren't answering your phone calls." He said following her in closing the door.
As a husband? What an asshole.
She sighed and turned to him folding his arms "I just don't want to talk to you. You keep lying and hiding things from me"
"I know what it looks like. But we are not together. She just came. I can get Avery James to tell you." Abraham said sitting on the couch.
"So what if I told you someone told me you two were together?" Courtney asked.
"I would tell you they're lying. Trust me. I changed and everything for us to be together, I tend to keep it that way." He said gesturing for her to sit by him.
Courtney however ignored his offer "what if I told you that I had pictures."
"I would say they're photoshopped or something. Do you have pictures?" He asked. Courtney saw his demeanor change up slightly.
Courtney pursed her lips. There was no point. She was going to wait until she got to the house.
"I don't."she said simply.
He just smiled and stood up "told you, babe. Nothing is going on."
He came up to her and hugged her. All she felt at that moment was anger and resentment.
"Are we good babe?" He asked pulling away.
Courtney just nodded.
"Alright. Do you wanna go out? Maybe we can-" Abraham attempted.
"Sorry. I uh... actually made plans to hang out with Heather and Bridgette. I was actually going to get ready to go. I was going to stay over the night" Courtney said fake apologetically.
"Oh. Well, it's okay I'll just invite the boys over." He shrugged slightly disappointed.
"Sounds good," Courtney replied ignoring the tone in his voice, and continued walking to the bedroom to get dressed.
As she got dressed she tried to figure out a way to not come home or be gone as long as possible. She couldn't rely on Bridgette and Heather forever. They had their own lives. Tonight they already had plans. So now she has figure out something.
But then again till she got a place she had to act like she was okay otherwise he would know and would be relentless with trying to change her mind and would be petty.
However, she still didn't want to be bothered with him.
After getting dressed she walked out grabbing her purse.
"Bye sugar, I love you." He said leaning in to kiss her.
Courtney saw him coming onto her mind on overdrive. She felt sick at the thought of kissing him. She imagined places his mouth was on Victoria then being out on her lips.
