TW: Mentions of snakes and frequent dislocation"Goodness me, ye sure brought along an incredibly adorable child, eh?" Joker remarked. "Are you a boy?"
"Yes," Ciel answered as he shifted uncomfortably. The disguise Sebastian and Y/N had thrown together for Ciel wasn't the high quality he was used to and the fabric was rough and itchy. "I was a pageboy at the manor. Umm..." Ciel paused as some of the circus members eyed him up and down, a few commenting on how cute he was. "I'm Finnian."
"What a grand-sounding name ye have. Ye really a boy?" Joker asked once more.
"Yes..." Ciel took a few steps back as the Ringmaster bent over him.
"Well! We'll give ye a stage name if you make it into our troupe," Joker informed the Earl. "But being cute isn't enough to work in a circus." Sebastian and Y/N seemed to be in complete contrast to that claim. Troupe members had been all over them since they arrived, asking if they would be joining the circus and asking if they would join them on their acts. "Ye gotta know how to do tricks. So little fellow, what are you good at? Can ye contort like the lady?"
"Umm, no... But I'm good at darts?" Ciel's answer sounded more like a question.
"Knife throwing, it is!" Right because giving children knives to throw is always the responsible thing to do. "Dagger, lend him your knives," commanded Joker.
"Here ye go," Dagger said as he placed the knives in Ciel's palms. Y/N and Sebastian both stepped back along with the other onlookers as Joker moved them to form a clear path from Ciel to the bullseye.
"Hit that target over there from here," Joker instructed as he pointed towards the target. It was a large distance from Ciel, much larger than anyone as small as he could throw something like a dagger.
"Awww, man. What a bully y'are Ol' Timer! With them scrawny arms, 'e'll never 'it the target," smirked Dagger.
"I'm not being mean," Joker assured him. "Ye couldn't call it an act if 'twere any closer." Ciel cast a look over his shoulder at Sebastian and Y/N, both giving him a slow nod. The Earl turned back around and held up a blade. The Earl eyed the target for a second more before he threw the blade with all of his strength towards the slabs of wood and paint. The blade flew and spun closer and closer to the target, however it began to soar closer to the ground.
"Awww, I knew it..." Sighed Dagger as the blade inched closer to the ground. Right as the knife was about to touch down, it sprung back to life and hit the target, right in the middle with alarming force. This caused all the viewers to gasp and gawk at Ciel, who just smirked. "No way!"
"You got this, Fin!" Y/N cheered as Sebastian smiled slyly at his master. The Earl looked back at them again before readying himself once more and throwing another blade at the target. Y/N glanced to her side, eyes on Sebastian's hand. Between his thumb and his fingers, the demon gripped a small pebble. He launched these pebbles so that they would connect to the throwing knives as they approached the ground, launching them back up to the target. Time and time again, every time a dagger thrown by Ciel grew close to the ground, Sebastian would fling a pebble and send the knife flying onto the target.
"Will that do?" Ciel asked after he eventually ran out of knives to toss.
"Ye seem to have good control," Joker complimented as he approached Ciel.
"How? How the..." Trailed off Dagger as he stared at the blade-covered target.
"Kid's got talent, that's how," Y/N smirked.
"Then next up is this!" Joker shouted up to Ciel who was high above them on a platform. "Tightrope walking!"
"Are ya sure that's completely safe?" Y/N asked nervously.
