TW: Mentions of smoking (cigarettes), blood, impulsion, wounds, a 'corpse', a real corpse and swords

"Baldo," Sebastian whispered as he and Y/N looked down on the sleeping chef. "Baldo!" Bard's eyes flew open and he swiftly pulled a loaded gun from under his pillow. Sebastian caught the chef's wrists as he turned to fire at him.

"What the Hell! It's just you two! Don't sneak up on me all silent, like!" Bard sighed as he pulled back. "I near took you for ghosts or somethin'!" Bard set his gun down and yawned. "What d'ya want?"

"It is about the menu for tomorrow," Sebastian told him as Bard laid back down and rolled the covers around himself.

"We can talk about that stuff in the mornin', can't we? I'm beat, y'know," Baldo huffed.

"We need you to listen now," Y/N said as both she and Sebastian pulled Bard up to face them.

"Yeeeah, aaall right," Bard gave in once he saw the unmistakable glint of dead seriousness in both Sebastian and Y/N's eyes. The chef placed a cigarette between his lips as Sebastian and Y/N smiled at him.

"First, tomorrow's breakfast. As I think the guests will be eating around noon, please prepare something somewhat filling. I have prepared herring pie and spinach quiche and put them in the larder, so please serve those to the guests," the demon instructed. "Please be vigilant and avoid cooking and serving something like kidney pie, and if you do cook, make sure to have Y/N with you. There is a stock pot full of curry that I have made on the stove, so serve that for dinner. For hors d'oeuvres, there are chopped-"

"Hey, hey!" Bard interrupted Sebastian. "Even if ya spout all of that off at me in one go, I ain't some secretary! I'll never remember it all!"

"Quite," Sebastian agreed as he stood up and took a group of papers from Y/N. "Thus I have seen to the menu for the next three days, taken care of preliminary arrangements, and written a memo detailing where the foodstuffs may be found and the procedure for warming them up. Y/N has a copy as well if anything should happen to this one." Sebastian handed a sleepy Baldo his copy of instructions as the chef lit his cigarette.

"Hunh? I don't need this. You just gotta tell me straight what you want done..." Bard trailed off as he looked up at Y/N and the demon. He might've been exhausted, but he could tell something was up.

"Nnnn! Wha's goink ooon?" Finny mumbled as he sat up sleepily.

"Sorry we woke you, Fin," Y/N whispered apologetically.

"Mister Sebastian? Y/N? What're you doin' up at this hour?" The gardener asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"Finny, due to the storm, you will be unable to work on the garden for some time. Starting tomorrow, I would like you to see to replacing the coke for the fires," Sebastian instructed Finny who just nodded along. "Do it first thing in the morning. Understood?"

"Yesss!" Finny sighed as he raised a tired hand.

"Now to bed with you. Tomorrow will be another early start," Sebastian said as he tucked Finny back into his covers.

"Night Finny," Y/N waved to him as Finny closed his sleepy eyes.

"You alright, Y/N?" Bard asked as Y/N stumbled a bit when she turned to leave.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's almost 3 a.m., and I'm exhausted." Y/N flashed Bard a sheepish smile before she walked out the doorway.

"Well then, we entrust tomorrow to you... Chef," Sebastian smirked over his shoulder as he followed Y/N out the doorway before closing the door behind himself.
