ADELE'S POV:
Rebecca had wandered off with a triumphant smirk on her sinister lips, and there—I stood unmoving. Deadpan. Still.
I know I wasn't supposed to feel the way I was feeling, but the truth is I did. I freaking felt unnerving when Rebbeca showed me that picture of her and Tyler so close to each other. My eyes immediately squeezed shut. Eventhough I had seen that jerk clung onto Rebbeca a trillion times before, this time it was as if I couldn't stand it.
Maddened, I stared at the floor, tensing my fists. Up until last night, I felt Tyler behaved so differently with me. I thought he was being so dissimilar from his usual self in front of me. But I was so wrong, damn it! Tyler literally behaved the same with every girl he was around, and I thought I was different for him? How did I actually forget this is what Tyler freaking Scott does!
What a dumbass, Adele! How could you fall into the jerk's trap?
"Adele!" Nicole shook me for what felt like the thousandth time until I finally gathered my composure and glanced at her. She looked back at me with an anxious-looking face, "Are you okay?"
"Y..yeah. I am good." I smiled, but Nicole obviously didn't seem to buy that.
"Seriously, Adele? Don't expect me to believe your 'I am okay' bullshit," Nicole sighed, clasping my hand, "If this bothers you, tell me--
"No, it doesn't Nicole!" With a clenched jaw, I cut her off, "Not anymore."
"Adele..." Uttered Nicole softly, and I reacted with a quick laugh. I laughed because this was going to be the last time I ever felt anything strange for this jerk. He didn't deserve it.
"Relax, Nicole. Why do you think his actions would bother me anyway? What else could you expect from a jerk like him?" I snorted with laughter, somewhat rolling my eyes in mortification.
I had created my own disappointments whatsoever.
"Adele, stop it! What's wrong with you?" Kneading my shoulders, Nicole gave me a questioned look, "You can't believe everything that bitch says. You know she's only trying to make you feel bad about everything!"
"I don't care, Nicole! Why are we even talking about this still?"
"Because you do! Come on, who are you kidding? Look at you." Nicole spoke as if she could literally see through me and know what's going on with me, "Besides, it needs two to make a quarrel, Adele. You never know what Tyler must have been going through. What's his side of the story to this?"
"You don't have to go through something to give someone a hickey, Nicole." I scoffed at how stupid that was, "This is bullshit! Just forget it. It's literally baseless talking about him."
"Bu--
Nicole's reply was discontinued by another voice calling out for me which caused the two of us to turn around immediately. I was already not feeling the best, and when I finally looked at the owner of the voice, I was exasperated once again.
It was Miley, one of Rebbeca's minions. Fuck this. What the hell did she want now? I swear, if I lose it this time, someone was having it from me.
"Just go away before I do something I won't even regret later, Miley." My bitter gaze glared fiercely at Miley, once she approached me, and she only heaved a breath in response.
"No, Adele. I ain't here for causing any more trouble to you. I just..." Miley paused to look at Nicole who was passing some deadly glares already and then looked back at me, resuming her reply, "Rebecca is truly being the worst she can get. Please don't believe all the crap she says. To get to the point, the hickey on her neck was fake, Adele."
