"When I saw you, I fell in love and you smiled, because you knew."

_
Ten thousand years of yelling, and still no trace of them.

'Kadavule! None of you give heed to my words. Na edhukaha indha veetla irukken. Unga rendu perukum ipdiye vela senjitu irken.' Sivangi yelled her throat out as she urged inside the kitchen, tying her wet hair into a loose bun. She tucked the pallu of her saree inside the waistband and began arranging things to prepare lunch. None seemed to give heed to her remarks even when she shouted.

'Appa oru pakkam, paiyan oru pakkam. Na..' she was cut in halfway by a female voice.

'Yendi eppo pathalum en paiyyana thittite irukke?' A lady in her 50s waded with bags in her hand.

'Wanga Binni medam. Neenga eppo oor la irundhu wandhinga?' Sivangi surveyed, helping the lady to place the loads on the counter.

'Ne avangala thittumpodhe wandhuten. Yen d unaku?' She gave a slight knock on her head for which she rubbed the spot, fake glaring.

'Apdi sollunga athai.' Ashwin waded to stand by Binni, throwing a smirk at his wife.

'Chummave ivanga rendu perayum thirutha mudiyadhu. Ippo support ku neenga vera wandhutingala?' Frowning at the lady, she placed her hands on her hips with a spatula in one hand.

'Ne edhuku en athaiya thitre! Haan!' Ashwin pinched her nose bridge, intentionally irritating her.

'Enna kaduppethurathuke porandhu wandhirukan.' The aggravated Sivangi huffed, whacking his well-built arm with the spatula, for which Binni giggled wholeheartedly.

'Paattiiii' Little Dhruv came jogging and hopped on his grandmother, just to be cuddled by her. 'Amma, Appa thitti thitti irku (Amma appava thittite irukka)'

Sivangi let out a grin, widely opening her mouth for her son's fuss, while Ashwin hi-fied with his lil boy, framing out a boxy smile. After having some chitchats with her mother who was invariably by her husband's side, Sivangi resumed preparing the lunch, while the little Dhruv was taken to the nearby park by his grandmother.
.

Sivangi was engaged in kitchen chores with her mother just after dinner, until the lil boy hugged her knees, glancing above his head.

'Mommyyyy!!' He extended his arms, showing out his milky teeth. She tidied up her hand with a handtowel,  carried the boy, and placed him on the countertop while positioning herself in front of his tiny legs.

'Why is my baby not yet to bed?' She raised her eyebrows, messing Dhruv's curly hair.

'Dhuru sleepith is paati. (Dhruv is sleeping with his grandmother)' He made a weird expression on the statement, for which Sivangi wasn't able to resist but to admire.

'My Dhruv will be sleeping with his Paati, until Paati leaves.' Sivangi's mother gently pecked his cheek, carrying him with a smile. She took him to bed, just after greeting and placing a kiss on her daughter's forehead. Her lips curved into a smile at the fading figures, thinking how blessed she was.

She proceeded with wiping the kitchen counter which was the only work left by her mother. Within seconds, she felt strong hands around her from behind and she turned red intimately knowing it was him. Though, she pretended to be mad at him. She released herself from his hold shifting away, not attempting to glance at him.

'Seems like my girl is mad at me.' He tied his hands behind, tiptoeing to read her expression.

'Now only you got that? Huh?' She threw a quick look, frowning at his utterance.

'Ayeeee, if you keep glaring like this, I have my ways you know.' He winked at her, with a smirk drawn all over his face. He took a step ahead, making her reverse walk.

'Ashhh... Don't even try to touch me.'

Though she warned him, deep inside he knew that she didn't imply it. Her back slammed against the sink, as she mashed her hands against the trims of the sink to balance herself. He brought his face near, making her face stir inches backward from him. He grabbed her by the waist and continued moving closer, sealing the gap between them.

Her heart started pounding out of her chest, while her knees felt wobbly like jelly. He'd always been naive until it was her. Always. She sealed her eyes tighter not wanting to spoil the moment.

Blushing at her flushed red face, he brushed his nose with hers. Without any second thought, he scooped a handful of water and splashed it on her face, making her jerk.

'You nonsense!' She squinted her eyes, as well as commenced chasing him. They ran around the house and ultimately, Ashwin halted leaning on the wall, huffing heavily.

Sivangi started hitting on his chest with her tiny hands yet exhibited no effects on him. With a wide grin, he got hold of her hands, cuffing them with his single hand. Their eyes locked intensely. They perfected the art of eye contact. For them, eye contact was a certain kind of magic that sparks chemistry into a volatile reaction.

Her kohled tiny eyes gazed into his pretty brown orbs. 'Shall we go to sleep?' He bent in and whispered in her ear, sending chills down her body, for which she shook burying her face in his bare chest. Her hearbeat almost ceased when he held up her in his arms, without smashing the delicate kiss he placed on her forehead.

'You look ethereal when you're shy. Especially... for me.' Ashwin softly murmured, as he positioned a soft smooche in the crook of her neck. Instantly, Sivangi's fury altered into something that only her man was capable of sensing.

Ashwin made his way to the bedroom, and the rest was jovially ever after.

THE END
