"A girl? Again?" a voice rang out in the quiet room. A woman drenched in sweat, holding a newborn Estelle in her arms, looked at the owner of the voice in disbelief. "My King, is that your main thought right now? We have a healthy, beautiful girl! Are you not happy?" the woman asked, her voice tight with disbelief.

"Is it not clear from the question I asked? I expected a son," the King said, his voice colder than before, with a tinge of annoyance. "I already gave you a son, my King! Do you not know how dangerous the succession will be with two sons?! I can teach your daughter to not set her eyes on the throne!" the woman exclaimed. Estelle started crying; the sound in the room was too loud for her.

The King sighed with irritation and signaled for the maids to come to take care of the child. The woman stretched her hands as she passed her baby to the maid and set her tear-filled gaze back on the King. "I do know how dangerous it will be. But that is what will ensure that the best king gets the throne," the King said, and walked out of the room, his ears unconcerned to the tearful cries of the Queen.
