Chapter Twenty Six: Katniss's POV

"Katniss?" I looked over and see Prim. "Why aren't you asleep?" I asked softly and she got out of Mum's bed and slid into mine. I cupped her face, "why aren't you?"

"You do know I want to help Prim but every time I try and do something it ends up badly I mean look at Peeta everyone called him a trader when all he was trying to do is survive. He never stopped being in the games neither did Johanna and Annie. They are stuck in the Capitol and I am helpless as I always was."

"You can help. You are their Mocking Jay if you want anything all you need to do is ask. You mean a lot to them," Prim whispered and I smiled and tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. "When did you become so smart little duck?" Prim smiled and I kissed her head, "let's get some sleep."

The next day I set up a meeting with Coin and Plutarch.

"I will be your Mocking Jay but I have a few demains. Peeta, Johanna and Annie are to be rescued at the first chance we get and they are to receive full immunity for anything said or done against the Rebellion." I said and Coin stared at me then calmly said, "no."

I glared at her, "You WILL recuse them You AND Your Government are going to take full reasonability for their actions. YOU were the one that left them in there they are just saying what has to be said so they can survive. You will give them a pardon for ANY and ALL that they do to survive."

"That's it! There! There's the Mocking Jay I promised you add the outfit and the background you have your symbol." Plutarch said and I stared at him. "Madame President she can do it. If anyone can spark the rebellion it is her. Our Mocking Jay." Coin stared at me, "any other demains?" I looked down at the piece of paper and I see messy hand writing that I recognised as Prim's. "And my sister gets to keep her cat," I said and Coin nod, "very well Mocking Jay."

I nod then exit the room and go to lunch. When I got there I see Effie, "Effie!" I called and I hugged the woman. "Katniss honey it is wonderful to see you I just wish I looked better," I smiled and hugged the woman again, "Plutarch rescued you?"

"That's what he calls it," Effie huffed and Effie brings out a folder. "Cinna left this for you. He said only to give it to you when YOU decided to becoming the Mocking Jay," Effie smiled and I looked in the folder then I remembered the last time I saw Cinna. "He's dead isn't he?" I asked and Effie nod, "sadly yes but he would be so proud to see you here Katniss. He always believed in you." I smiled at Effie who cupped my face, "I believe in you." I let a tear slip and she wiped it away, "thank you Effie."

"How's Haymitch?" I asked and she huffed, "he's 40 levels down and not coming back up. He still doesn't except the bond and I don't think he ever will." I hugged the blue eyed woman, "at least he's not stuck in the Capitol in who knows what condition."

Effie turns my wrist over and traces the name, "I am so sorry Katniss."
