Hey Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here, learning about the incident between Ellie and Nate at her fourth of July party. Shame on you Nate. You can't touch anyone like that. But it looks like a knight in shining armor came through for our heiress after she ran away. What will Nate do when he finds out that Ellie has another suitor waiting in the wings? After Carter left, Ellie kept to herself, not seeing anyone. She relived her night with him over and over again. Nate called, messaged what felt like every hour. The only messages she would respond to were from her parents and Carter.
Finally, Serena and Blair decided to intervene. "Ellie, you have to talk to us," Serena called.
Ellie opened the door. "Why? Why do I have to do anything?"
Blair huffed. "I know Nate crossed a line but he loves you."
"Loves me? Really? So, when he grabbed me and marked me, that's what you call love! Ellie yelled. She didn't notice the tears already running down her face.
Blair threw it back in her face. "Oh, and Carter Baizen is any better."
"Carter has never lied to me or hurt me. He is not the same Carter that you remember."
Serena pulled Ellie away. "Ellie, we just had your best interest at heart. Nate has been telling us how sorry he is that he hurt you. You should at least hear him out before you write him off."
"If I may interrupt." Ellie looked up to see Chuck in the doorway. "Ellie, you shouldn't let one mistake be the catalyst to throw away two years of a relationship. Nathaniel has been there for you. It's my fault he got so high. I apologize for that."
"So you guys want me to forgive Nate?"
Blair nods. "We think its best. We know Carter has established himself as your friend but he has a reputation that follows him. If you insist on keeping him as a friend, keep him as a business friend. But he should not be invited to our parties anymore."
"I won't be dictated too. Carter is my friend. And I will see him if I please." Ellie looked at them. She sighed. "Fine. I will talk to Nate if you leave me alone about Carter."
Later that day, Ellie reached out to Nate.
E: I think we need to talk
N: Baby, please let me explain
E: No, I'm not doing this via text
E: Meet me at the Daisy Café in town in an hour.
N: I'll see you there.
Ellie was seated in the back corner of the café and ordered a tea. As Nate arrived, he saw Ellie through the window. I'm so close to having her be mine forever. I need to shut down Baizen as soon as possible. I need to make this right. She is the key to making my place in the world forever. He walked into the café and headed straight for Ellie. "Hi sweetheart."
"Nate." Her tone was cold.
"I'm sorry Ellie. I don't know how I got so out of control."
"You got high. Again." Ellie sighed. "It's your life Nate but when it affects me, I can't ignore it."
"I know baby, I know. It's just, when it comes to Baizen, I just see red. I really want you to stop seeing him. He is not a good person."
"I get that you think he is a bad guy. But he isn't to me. I won't stop being his friend. And you've lost the right to tell me anything. You grabbing me and marking me is not ok."
