The war had started. Battles happened throughout the east coast while PA was helping with the declaration.

Meanwhile, America and Dixie, both worked together to win their freedom. North Carolina had been on watch with South Carolina leaning against a dock post. They were in Yorktown, NC, and saw some ships approaching. The two stood up and walked over to the harbor and waited until they'd come to a complete stop.  Off the ship came Scotland and Wales, one with a rather rugged look and the other just more of a casual/preppy aura to her.

Scotland rolled his eyes and pushed Wales out of the way walking to the two states.
" surrender or we'll bring ya to the gallows."
He spoke in a thick accent making it hard to understand him. Realistically there would be a whole bunch of Scottish insults though we'd like this to stay child-friendly.

The Scotsman wore a kilt and a red coat which he slung over his shoulder. He had ginger hair tied in a short ponytail though had a rough look on his face.

Wales cleared her throat and moved the taller country out of the way. She wore glasses and a long dress with boots, her white hair was put up in a bun and she had cherry red dragon wings and horns.

" I assume you both are colonies correct? BRITISH colonies. "
She spoke with a sort of hiss in her voice as she stood up straight glaring at the two boys.

North and South both looked at each other before bursting out laughing.  After a few moments, North Carolina spoke,
" British colonies? I'm afraid not, we are independent!"
He proclaimed with a smile before looking at South Carolina who then nodded in agreeance,
" We are states of the United States of America. Unlike you, we aren't going to be ruled by a tyrant who assumes that they may control our religion, bodies and what we can and cannot say. Tread lightly. If we want freedom we'll get it."

He said in an ill manner staring at the countries with a disgusted look. Wales gave a sickening grin as read coats streamed out of the boats.  They began marching through the village burning any American flags they may have seen and taking the so-called rebels prisoner as the continental Army fought against them in a desperate attempt to stop them.
( not historical btw :) )
