When Y/n was still a kid, her parents and shuyang's parents we're bestfriends, so they planed that they would have children exactly 1 year away from eachother, that's why Shuyang was born on April 24, 2007 and Y/n was born on April 24, 2008, Growing up y/n and shuyang we're the closest they treated each other as siblings, then shuyang's debut came up, y/n knew they would not be as close as before after Shuyang's debut, and she was worried they might part ways, and Shuyang knew about y/n's worries, so he confessed something on the day before BOY STORY's debut, and that's when he made his promise

Shuyang: y/n, i- i have something to tell you
Y/n: mhm? what is it
Shuyang: you know that i'm gonna debut tomorrow right?

Shuyang: i know that there is a big possibility that we might part ways

Y/n: now promise me, even when you debut, no matter what don't like other girls, nor date other girls
Shuyang: I, Ren Shuyang, Promise That I Will Never Look At Other Girls, Like Other Girls, Nor Date Other Girls, I Promise To Be Loyal To The Only One I Love In The Whole World, I Promise To Love Wang Y/n Until My Last Breath, And I Promise To Marry Her When We Grow Up

Shuyang: come on, i know you liked it
Y/n: *suddenly blushing like a tomato*
Shuyang: Alright, since this is our first ever promise to each other, let's mark this as a special promise, let's call it our "Childhood Promise"

Y/n: promise to keep that promise
Shuyang: Promise
Y/n: *chuckles* i know you never break a promise
Shuyang: I won't

Y/n is a very very sentimental person, It's the first promise she ever made so she really does not want to break it, she never ever made a promise to anyone else after her promise with shuyang
