Chapter Two

Anastasia's Point Of View:

It's been a month, an entire month without Christian Grey and it feels like a lifetime.

God, how I miss him. My world feels so dark and, gray without him. So, empty. So, pointless.

I can't eat, I can't sleep. I can barely get work done. I am living in hell and I don't see any way out. Christian hasn't contacted me since I walked out on him. Not that I blame him, it's not like I was ever good enough for him.

I feel the tears burning my eyes and I have to take a deep breath and focus on my work. Which is hard, seeing as how almost everything some how reminds me of Christian.

"Ana, you don't look so well honey. Why don't you head home?"My boss, Jack Hyde, leans over the back of my chair and tucks a loose strand of hair that came out of my bun, behind my ear.

"Um, okay. Thanks, Jack." I whisper and quickly pack up all my belongings.

"Need a ride?" He asks,licking his bottom lip.

"No, thanks Jack. Bye." I quickly make my way out of the building and sigh with relief when I make it outside. The air is wet and cold, rain falling lightly. The weather matched my dull mood and, the gray clouds reminded me of gray eyes that I would never see again.

I can't stop the tears now. I pull my hood on from the jacket I'm wearing, duck my head and , make my way through the wet streets.

I try to get myself to stop crying but, I can't. It hurts to even think about him. To think how easily he just let me go.

How foolish was I to think that he would ever love me?! He would never love someone like me. Why, I bet he's got a new girl in his Red Room of Pain right now! Telling her all the things he's told me.

The thought makes me sick. Literally. My stomach begins to ache as I cross the street and as I get closer to the other side of the road, I become dizzy. As soon as my foot touches the sidewalk, everything becomes fuzzy.

I feel my legs buckle and just as everything goes black, I see a tall figure reaching out to catch me.

I wish it was Christian.
