Still day 98

Blood, dripping from my wrist. Old marks are visible from the past. I deserve this. For some reason there's pleasure in hurting yourself, intentionally. I deserve to feel the pain for what I've done. I deserve all the pain I receive. The pain I receive from my family and myself. It satisfies me because I'm a bad person. This world and everyone in it would be better off without me.

What if I could just...dissappear?

Sometimes I think about suicide. But I wouldn't dare it. Inspite of all my mistakes it's my job to make sure people stay happy. I don't deserve happiness, others do. People with pure hearts, pure souls and no darkness all over their lives. I feel my stomach start to growl again. I've gotten used to the hunger. I don't deserve food either. Food won't solve my problems.

I place the blade back in my drawer, shutting it slowly so nobody would here. Currently, it's twelve am. My brother is out drinking again and my dad fell asleep in the living room in front of the TV. My phone beeps.

Unknown: Come outside.

I frown at the text coming from the unknown number, looking out of my window.

I'm not actually going to go outside.

Being one of those dumb girls in horror movies is the last thing I need right now. I decided to know who it is at least.

Gabriella: Who is this?

Unknown: It doesn't matter. Exit this house or Daddy won't come out breathing.

What the actual heck? Who is this person?

Slowly, I walk towards my bedroom door, opening it carefully so dad doesn't wake up and shout at me for leaving my room. My feet make their way towards the front door. My heart beats fast and my hand grips the door handle opening it fastly in case I have to karate kick someone. Wind blows through my hair as my eyes lay on a dark figure before me, obviously a man due to his muscular physique, his back turned towards me.

Goosebumps appear on my skin from the cold air of the night. My legs freezing like crazy in these shorts and my arms crossed over each other for warmth. The man turns around to face me though I can't really see his face. You can't really see anything except for his dark attire.

"W-who are you?" I stutter out.

"Are you Gabriella Diaz?" He asks shocking me with his deep voice.

"Yes? Why do you want to know?" I ask, way too confident for my own good right now.

"She's got a tone huh? Give this to your brother, will you?" He says handing me a file.

"And don't snoop." He speaks. I honestly don't know why but I shiver due to his voice. Don't snoop? What does he mean don't snoop? Oh he's probably talking about the file.

"Why?" I ask, looking up only to find him not there anymore. My eyebrows furrow in confusion.

That's suspicious.

97 days before

Walking to school my mind travels to the man I saw last night. I wonder who he was? What's in that file? How does he know my brother? Too many questions.

At school I decide to talk to Mason. I feel really bad for rejecting him so much but I can't tell him why. I just can't. I'll have to make something up. At least it'll satisfy his mind and won't have to worry about me and pitty me like I know people would if I tell them the truth of what my life is like. It's better this way.
