Anyone who saw that photo would have had no doubt that they were lovers.

Qi Chengzhi looked at Song Yu gloomily and let out a weird laugh. “Hehe!”

Song Yu was speechless.

She was even beginning to wonder how long ago it was since the photo album first came into existence and why there were so many pictures of herself with Jian Yi.

Qi Chengzhi proceeded to flip another page. It was a photo of Song Yu during her high school graduation. Laying against her chest was her hair, done in a thick braid.

Jian Yi was wearing a suit and had the maturity of a working man. His striking good looks put all the high school kids in the background to shame. At that time, many girls probably had crushes on him.

He stood beside Song Yu in the picture, and the two of them smiled at each other while Song Yu’s arm was wrapped around his.

Her smile was very sweet. Both her eyes formed a crescent moon shape, with Jian Yi being the sole person that her eyes could see.

Jian Yi’s gaze meanwhile, was gentle, and he was smiling warmly at her. The way they stood together and looked at each other was reminiscent of a loving young couple.

Qi Chengzhi looked at Song Yu mockingly. “Hehe, you took plenty of photos with him. Seems like your relationship with him was pretty good!”

“…” Song Yu grabbed the album from him and took out the photo of her and Jian Yi. She then flipped to the front and removed the rest of the photos she had taken with him.

“These are all old photos. I’ve never looked at them anymore after putting them inside the box. You can see how dusty the covers are. I’ve long forgotten these photos,” Song Yu explained. Her brain began to feel numb due to Qi Chengzhi’s stares. “I’ll throw them away.”

“If there’s nothing wrong, just keep them in here. You’re not feeling guilty, right? Why throw them away?” Qi Chengzhi took back the photo album and saw that it was empty where the photographs used to be. Song Yu had taken them out.

He continued browsing through.

“Qi Chengzhi, can you please talk normally?” Song Yu’s patience was wearing thin and she got angry. She had earlier tried to coax him lovingly, but he simply insisted on riling her up.

Song Yu took the album away from him and shut it. “These are all old photos and I really did forget about them. It’s not like I kept them on purpose. Was it really worth it to be all weird about it?”

Qi Chengzhi did not take the album from her again. He looked at Song Yu and narrowed his eyes suddenly.

It had been a long time since he had actually looked at her like that, and Song Yu had forgotten how frightening that expression was. Listlessness began coming over her as soon as his expression manifested. She wanted to sweet-talk him but chose to hold in her words, even though they were already on the brink of escaping her mouth.

She had conceded to him far too often and she wanted to put an end to that. There was nothing wrong in what she did, so she huffed angrily and moved to get off the bed.

“Where are you going?” Qi Chengzhi asked. He held her waist, turned her so she faced him, and pressed her into his embrace. “You’re the one who kept pictures of an ex-lover, and now you’re saying I can’t bring it up?”

Most of the time, he did not hold grudges, but because of Jian Yi’s help and protection the day before, he felt disgusted. More so, when he thought about how Jian Yi held her hand and brought her away.
