CHAPTER 70

AFTER THREE WEEKS, the result finally came.

Andito na kami sa hospital kasama si Diane, she was just sitting there and just glaring at us.

Magkahawak naman kami ng kamay ni Sandro.

"Good Morning" The doctor came at hawak hawak nya na ang resulta.

"Ano doc? Ano ang resulta?" Sandro was eager to find out the truth.

"Okay... settle down congressman" The doctor said.

We were waiting for him to read the results.

"Based on the test that we conducted through the mother's blood draw and the father's saliva, the probability of the parentage is 99.99%." He stated.

Nanlamig naman ako.

Fck.

Baka nanaginip lang ako.

Diane scoffs.

Habang si Sandro nakayuko na.

He looked at me at hinawakan ang mga kamay ko.

"Darling..."

I stared back at him.

Namumuo sa mga mata nya ang luha.

Samantalang ako, pinipigilan ko.

"I'll let you talk in private, I'll be outside" The doctor said at lumabas na.

Diane stood up at lumapit kay Sandro.

Hinawakan nya ang braso nito which made us both glared at her.

"I told you. This is your child" She was smirking.

Tumayo naman ako para harapin sya.

"Congratulations" I told her.

She just glared at me.

"We... we will... let's talk sa bahay na" Sandro said.

Hinawakan nya naman ang kamay ko at lumabas na kami.

Diane followed us.

Pagdating ng bahay, Vinny was there at binabantayan si Aliza and Alex.

"Oh... how was it--"

"Sandro is the father." Diane told him.

Natahimik naman si Vinny.

"Let's talk sa office ko" Sandro said at sumunod naman kami ni Diane.

"So... what's your plan?" Diane asked habang nakaupo sa harapan namin ni Sandro.

"I will give you all the financial support that you will need--"

"Financial support?"

"Sandro...hindi ako nakakapayag na maging illegitimate child yung anak ko!" She answered.

"Eh anong gusto mong mangyari?" I asked her.

She rolled her eyes.

"Pakasalan mo ako" She answered.

I cannot believe her.

"No." Sumagot naman agad si Sandro.

"Ano--"

"I will not marry you." He answered again.

"Hahayaan mo ang anak natin na maging bastardo?!" She raised her voice.

"And let my son be the illegitimate child?" Sandro asked her.

Natahimik naman sya.

"I love Althea, I love Alex... and I am going to marry her, whether you like it or not" Sandro continued.

I was just listening to them.

"What about our child? Hindi mo mahal toh?" She was teary eyed.

Sandro cleared his throat.

"Supporting you financially is the only thing I can offer you."

"Pero wag ka mag-alala, I will not deny that child." Sandro answered her.

She wasn't saying anything.

"If you're not comfortable with that, I will take the child and ako na ang magpapalaki sa batang yan"

She was astonished.

"You... taking my child?... and let that woman raise my baby?"

She scoffs.

"Wag na... kaya kong mag-isang palakihin ito" She stood up.

"Mag-enjoy kayo sa buhay nyo but you will never see this baby." She warned us.

Natahimik naman kaming dalawa.

After she left, Sandro and I had a chance to talk.

"Darling..." Niyakap nya naman ako.

"It's your child.." I told him.

"I know...pero ikaw... kayo ni Alex lang ang tatanggapin ko" He said habang nakahawak sa pisngi ko.

"Ikaw ang gusto kong pakasalan" He continued.

I nodded yes to him at niyakap sya.

After two months of preparing for our wedding, halos kumpleto na ang lahat.

Nagkikita naman kami minsan ni Diane dahil hinahatidan namin sya ng mga kailangan nya.

Guess she finally gave up at tinanggap na lang talaga yung decision namin ni Sandro.

I was waiting for him sa kwarto dahil late syang nakauwi.

"Darling... how are you?" He said.

Tumabi naman sya sa akin sa higaan.

"Ikaw ang kamusta?--"

He suddenly snore..

Grabe pagod na pagod ang Sandro ko.

"Okay..." I slowly removed his shoes para makatulog sya ng maayos..

"I love.. bshsbawh" He was sleep talking.

Napangiti naman ako.

Kahit sa panaginip ako pa rin ang iniisip nya.

I kissed him bago ko inayos yung mga gamit nya.

Bigla nya naman akong hinila palapit sa kanya at niyakap ako habang nakapikit pa rin ang mga mata.

"You made me happy.. you and..." Then he stopped talking again.

I can't wait to start my life with him.

The next morning, maaga palang gumising na si Sandro, he was talking to someone on the phone.

"Darling...?" I asked him habang namamalik-mata pa.

"Yeah.. I'll see you later" Then he dropped the call.

Nilapitan nya ako at niyakap.

"Good morning darling" He kissed me sa pisngi.

"Sino yung kausap mo? Ang aga naman..." I said as I rest my head sa balikat nya.

He embraced me tighter.

"It was just Matthew. May meeting na naman kami mamaya so I'll be home late again" He said.

"Napapadalas na ang late na yan ah. Ah basta, wag mo kalimutan fitting nyo ni Alex mamaya para sa barong tagalog ha" I reminded him.

"Wouldn't missed it for the world" He answered.

This is it, isang buwan na lang at magpapakasal na kami.

Magiging legit na Marcos na ako and I am finally going to marry the man of my dreams... My Willow Man.
