My eyes flutter open with the morning light. I sit up and rub my eyes. I look next to me and my boyfriend is not there, at the same time I hear a light knock at the door.
"Come in" I say feeling more awake. The door open slowly and then my boyfriend walks in holding a tray with pancakes, tea, a rose and a card on.
"Morning baby, happy birthday." He says sweetly as he puts down the tray and pulls me in for a kiss.
"Morning Lou, thank you." I looked down at the food, my mouth waters just looking at it. "You didn't have to do all of this." I say feeling bad.
"Yes I did, a special breakfast, for my special girl, on her special day. Now, you eat that while I run you a bath. Pancakes just the way you like them!" He gets up from the bed and walks out the door before I can protest.
This is amazing. So if you didn't realise, it's my birthday, my 18th birthday to be exact. My boyfriend, Louis, has been planning this day for a month. He's the sweetest human being on the planet, he treats me so well, sometimes better than I deserve.
I eat my food and drink my tea while replying to birthday messages from friends and family, when Louis walks back in with our dog Toffee trotting in behind him. (The dog at the top^(which is actually my dog in real life 😊))
"Your bath is ready." Toffee starts jumping at the side of the bed, due to her small body and short legs, she can't get onto our bed. Louis picks her up. "Ready to let the beast loose." I laugh and he puts her on the bed.
She runs over to me and starts licking my face and jumping on me. "Hi baby, are you happy to see me, yes you are!" I say laughing then laying her on her back to rub her belly. I get up from the bed and pick her up. "The pancakes were delicious Lou. You really outdid yourself!" I say giving him a peck on the lips while walking past him.
"What can I say, I made it with love and it helps that I know you better than you know yourself." He says in a proud voice following behind me with the tray, which I had forgotten about.
I walk to the bathroom and set Toffee down on the floor. My mouth hangs open with amazement. The curtains were drawn, there were small candles dotted round, the bathwater was shimmering in the candle light (Lou had clearly used a shimmer bath bomb) and there were rose petals laying on the water. "Do you like it" I hear from behind me.

"I love it baby, thank you."
~ I sit on the sofa thinking about the day. I went shopping with my friends, then we went to my parents house for dinner. Now it's just me and Lou. "Do you want to watch a movie or go straight to bed?" Louis asked me.
"Let's watch our favourite movie!" I say with excitement. "Star Wars : Return of the Jedi?" I note. He gets the movie and puts it on. "Thank you for today Lou, I loved it!" I say in a whisper. "You're welcome, I love you." He whispers in my ear sweetly. "I love you too!"
*so I hope you liked this, in my English class I got a 5 😭 my teacher said nothing exciting happened when it's supposed to be a short story about a celebration 😒 I wrote a nice, sweet, cute little story about this girls 18th birthday 🤨 like what's supposed to happen
I got out the bath and went to look for Louis. "Louis?! Where are you?" I call out. Suddenly a man breaks down our door and runs in with a gun! 😱 "Give me your money" he shouts in a gruff voice. "Here, take it." I say with shaky breath. He takes what I gave him and shoots me dead.
