Sam's POV
I woke up awhile ago, it's only 5 am. I'm not sure what I'm going to say to her. I don't know how it will go, I'm nervous.
I leave Emma's apartment and start walking. I shiver as the cold December air rushed over me. I just want Taylor to feel warm again.
By the time I reach Taylor house, I'm freezing. I knock and wait for a moment. When nobody answered I cracked the door and poked my head in. The place looked empty and not sign of life.
I walk in and close the door slowly. Creeping forward I peak around the corner to the couch, nobody. I explore the house looking for her. When I can't find her I start to panic.
I hear a piano and follow the sound, not trying to stay quiet anymore. As I reach the door the sound is coming from my mind races. My heart pounds against my chest.
I stop infront of the door, I don't remember this room. I take a deep breath and push the cracked door open wider.
I peak in and see Taylor in sweats and a t-shirt. Her hairs in a ponytail and her glasses perched on her nose. She hits notes on the piano and mumbles to herself, scribbling in a notebook.
I step in and the hardwood creaked causing Taylor to jump and turn. Her eyes land on me and go wide. She looks like a college student who is studying. My hearts racing.
I break eye contact holding my arms.
"Taylor I-" before I can finish I feel arms rapped around me. Her forehead rests on my head. She's shaking slightly. Her tight hold almost makes me cry.
She feels so much safer, so different from the Taylor from a week ago. She held me tight and I finally rapped my arms around her.
"I thought I'd killed you" she said clearly holding back her tears. The strong business woman I met has all of a sudden turned soft.
"Why did you leave" I say grabbing her shirt, not as good as her at hiding. She loosens her grip and looked down at me. She smiled down at me, her fingers trace my jaw.
"I don't know. It was stupid" she said letting me go. She walked back over and sat on the bench facing me. She put her head in her hands letting out a long sigh. I walk closer to her to hesitant to do anything else.
I hear my heart on my ears, my mind races with ideas. What should I say, where is this going?
"I-...I'm sorry" I say quietly. She looked at me confused, stopping her fidgeting. I shake from holding back. "What? Why? You haven't done anything baby" she said reaching for my hand. I shy away and she retreated her hand.
"No. I have. I'm sorry for all of the excuses I've used. I'm sorry for running away. I'm sorry for giving into my fear. I-" I say. The wind seems to leave me as I start crying.
"I-im sorry I ever waisted your time" I say through a sob. Taylor looks shocked and pulled me into a hug. "Sam, you haven't waisted my time." She coos.
"A lot of emotions have swirled in my head but I've never seen you as a mistake" she said drawing circles on my back. I try to calm down but hear her words make me cry harder.
She pussed away slightly and looked at me concerned. She pulled me into her lap and rocked us.
"You're ok, I forgive you. Whatever your head is telling you I promise isn't true" she said quietly. I take deep breaths slowly calming down.
I hide in her neck shaky breaths escaping my mouth. "I-i love you and I'm sick of being afraid of it" I mumbled. We stop moving and she pushed on my shoulders to get me to look at her.
"I'm sorry I ever tried to force myself on you. I wasn't thinking and would never want to make you feel scared around me" she said resting her forehead on mine.
I get trapped my her blue eyes. There so full of emotions and deep. I forget where I am for a moment.
"Love made me crazy and it's no excuse to do what I did." She said quietly looking ashamed. I smile weakly at her. "I don't want to run anymore. I'm ready to take this seriously, to take us seriously" I say.
Her eyes light up and she smiled. I feel the hesitation throughout her body. She leaves a kiss on my cheek, making sure not to linger. "I'll never try and force you into something you don't want again" she said rapping her arms around me and buring her face in my neck.
I draped my arms over her shoulders and enjoyed the silence. I feel my body start to burn at every point our skin touches.
Taylor chuckled and I look up her. She looks at me with love in her eyes. "You're cute" she whispered and rubbed shapes on my back. I let out a shaky breath at the tingling that ran up my back.
I growl comes from my stomach, I turn my head embarrassed. Taylor giggled.
"Let's go eat." She said helping me off her lap. She looked down at me still laughing. "What" I say not making eye contact. She shook her head and brushed my question aside.
Taylor grabs my hand and we make out way to her kitchen. I sit and watched her start to cook. The sun hit her hair making it glow.
She moved so naturally through the kitchen. I want this every morning. She sets a plate infront of me and lean on the island.
"Aren't you going to eat?" I question.
"I just like watching you" she said leaning forward. My face heats up and I look away from her. "Taylor that's embarrassing" I mumbled.
She laughs filling the room with such a beautiful sound. "Just eat" she said pushing off of the counter. We eat enjoying the comfortable environment for once.
