It was the night of New Year's eve. All members of the Malhotra family were awake. They had invited Maasi to celebrate with them. They were all sitting in the garden sipping beers and interacting about random things, awaiting the clock to strike 12 so they could wish each other. They were so caught up in their world that they didn't realize Ishqi wasn't present.
Ahaan: ( 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 ) Sirf pandra minute mein New Year hai aur sab se pehle Ishqi ko Happy New Year main kahonga lekin Ishqi hai kaha?
He was about to go look for Ishqi but then Kartik and SoRaj involved him in their convo, he got distracted and forgot about looking for Ishqi.

They all embraced each other wishing them new year greetings. The sky lit up with fireworks/ fire crackers. Ahaan excused himself.
Ahaan: Ishqi! Ishqi! Kaha ho?
He walked into their room to find Ishqi sleeping. He smiled a little looking at her cute, asleep face, caressed her hair and placed a kiss on her forehead .
Ahaan: Happy New Year Ishqi...
Soon, he went to sleep.
A little while later, he could sense Ishqi getting 'jhatke' I don't know the English word for it.
Ahaan: Kya hua Ishqi?
Ishqi: Kuch nahi aap so jaiye
Ahaan: Pehle yeh batao kya hua phir so jaunga
Ishqi: Woh...mujhe....mujhe patakhe ke awaaz se dar lagta hai
Ahaan: Main hoon na, chalo so jao
Ishqi: Wahi toh problem hai. Main so nahi paungi
Ahaan then diverted the topic.
Ahaan: Yeh batao, tum hum sab ke saath neeche kyun nahi thi
Ishqi: Mujhe pata tha ke New Year's par log raat ke 2-3 baje tak shor machate hai isiliye mujhe laga ke main agar jaldi so jao toh mujhe awaaz nahi aayegi. New year se yaad aaya. Happy New Year AVM!
Ahaan: Happy New Year Ishqi
Just then, Ishqi heard a loud pop and hugged Ahaan tightly as she was scared. He smiled a little and hugged her back.
