Gift (Short)

Team 6 returned to the Leaf and Mirai was seen by Lady Tsunade. Mira was fine but she was ordered to rest for a week and a half to heal properly. Something she loathed but agreed to nonetheless. Y/N was at his home coloring the pages of his manga. When he got a knock on the door. He went to it and answered and saw a good friend of his Konohamaru.

Konohamaru : Good morning Y/N.

Y/N : Morning to you too. What brings you here?

Konohamaru : Naruto wanted me to come get you.

Y/N : For what reason?

Konohamaru : Hanabi told us that you invented a new Rasengan and we're curious to see.

Y/N : I guess. Let's get going then. Wouldn't want to keep him waiting.

The duo ran to the office and saw a Hokage that was face first in his paperwork sleeping. Y/N generated some lightning in his hand and touched Naruto zapping him awake.

Naruto : Thanks Y/N.

Y/N : No problem chief.

Naruto : So let's see this new justu of yours.

Y/N held out his hand a Rasengan appeared. When it finished forming he slowly added lightning to it giving it a erratic look.

Naruto : Wow that is impressive. I always thought I would just end up as a Chidori so I never attempted to try it but now I can see that I'd just have to get the numbers right. What do you call it?

Y/N : The first thing that came to mind was Razorsengan. I can't come up with anything else (I really can't) You're welcome to try it if you'd like it.

Konohamaru : I'll practice right now.

Konohamaru jumped out the window and and the same time Kakashi and Sasuke showed up in the office.

Kakashi : Hello my son.

Sasuke : Hello.

Y/N : Holy shit this perfect. The three of you will stay right here I will be right back. *Flickers away*

Sasuke : Did a 12 year old Chunin just tell us what to do?

Kakashi : That he did.

Naruto : It's not even like I can leave. *Attempts to make Razorsengan but fails*

Sasuke : The hell was that?

Naruto : Y/N created a lightning infused Rasengan and just showed it to me and Konohamaru.

Kakashi : He did what I failed to do. I'm so proud of him.

Y/N flickers back into the room with a bag on his back and the three adults still standing where he left them.

Kakashi : So what's up?

Y/N : So for the past few years I've been working on this project. I made these for you.

Y/N dug in his bag and pulled out three books and passed them out to each other. each book had a corresponding person.

Naruto : What are these?

Y/N : I made each of you books that correspond with your past. It's an alternate series of events that have a happier ending for each of you all.

Each man looked at their book with a smile on their face and small tears were rolling down their faces. Shock was far from the first thing that filled their hearts. But an amount of love reserved for those who matter to you.

Y/N : I hope those are tears of joy because this would be real awkward.

Kakashi walked over to his son and trapped him in a huge bear hug. Naruto came over and did the same while Sasuke rubbed his head.

Naruto : It's perfect.

Sasuke : I'll be sure to treasure this gift.

Kakashi : Im proud to say that you are my son.

They all released from the embrace and looked at the books in hand. In these objects were the most desired realities of the Konoha's most damaged heroes.

Y/N : It was really hard trying to figure out how things would work out if things didn't go the way they did but I think you'll be pleased with the outcome of the books. Especially your's father.

Kakashi : I'm curious to see what you came up with.

Y/N : Now if you will excuse me I will be going home, I'm gonna celebrate finally finishing. Catch you later.

Y/N jumped the window home leaving his family in the office. The three of them looked at their books and opened the first page and each page warmed their heart.

Kakashi's page had a photo of Sakumo Hatake, his father Obito, Rin and Minato.

Sasuke's had a photo of Itachi and his parents.

Naruto's had a photo of a huge list of people but the most important being Pervy Sage, Minato and Kushina. Alongside them were other people who helped him on his journey friend and foe alike.

Even though the photos were different all of them had a simple message.

"I Love You"

Sasuke left the building and so did Kakashi, leaving Naruto alone. But they did this on purpose because each of them needed to let out what they were feeling in privacy. And the best way they did that was through tears. When the 6th Hokage and the 7th's shadow reached home, The strongest people on the planet wailed like children.

Reality is often a drag, and having to face it is always a priority but sometimes, its fine to show signs of weakness from time to time.
