Anbu Ops

(This chapters beginning takes place a few hours after the end of the previous short)

Naruto sat in his office looking over the paperwork of various missions that'd been completed. The one he was currently looking over was Team 6's most recent job. Though Hanabi was the leader of the team, Y/N came up with basically the entire plan. As a result he was the one who wrote the report of the mission. He was impressed by the detail of the report and the strategy he used when he formulated the idea.

Shikamaru walked into the office and saw that Naruto strangely enjoyed doing his job which peaked his interest.

Shikamaru : What got you all happy?

Naruto : Read this report.

Shikamaru : Hanabi wrote this?

Naruto : Y/N did.

Kakashi too then entered the room.

Kakashi : You said my boys name?

He had a habit of coming here to ask how his son did on his mission based on Hanabi's report. He was let in on the topic between the two men and then got hand of the report and the same thing happened again to him.

Kakashi : He is a Kurohoshi and this was their claim to fame.

Shikamaru : What do you think about him joining the Anbu? As his father.

Kakashi : Absolutely not. However I do understand the idea. That's what the father and shinobi in me are thinking. I'm choosing to listen to the father.

The former Kage's last sentence was laced with a matter of fact tone that was definitely noticed

Naruto & Shikamaru : Understood.

The next morning Y/N woke up to Mirai still next to him. She too then woke up and sat up and made them some tea. Y/N got up and sat at the table and his company joined him.

Y/N : Last night was fun.

Mirai : So much fun! So when can I see you again?

Y/N : The next time we group up for our next mission.

Mirai : *Deadpans* Y/N I meant like a date.

Y/N : *Rubs bridge of nose*

Mirai : Okay after our next mission sound good? We always get a day off after one.

Y/N : That sounds great.

The tea finished being made and the two made idle chit chat. When they were finished Mirai got ready to leave but before she did she pecked him on the cheek.

Y/N : See ya.

Mirai : Can't wait.

She exited the door and ran home the happiest girl on Earth. On the way, she ran past the mail man

Mailman : Morning Mirai, I take it your date went well?

Mirai : It was perfect!

Mailman : Y/N at home?

Mirai : Thats where I last left him.

They parted and made their way to their destinations. Y/N's house he could tell that he was in a good mood.

Mailman: Good morning.

Y/N : Morning. Tea?

Mailman : Certainly. I have time to spare.

The mailman was a good acquaintance of the boy after giving him shelter during a storm shortly after his moving in. The two sat down and drank tea while they conversed. Then in the middle of the conversation the mailman fell asleep. Snoring package included.
