Prologue: A Strange Curse

Long ago, a strange curse was placed on the Sōma family. And I'm sure you know all about it at this point, so I'll make this brief.

One rather foul winter's night, a stranger visited the Sōma residence, seeking shelter from the bitter cold. One of the Sōma children wanted to help, but was only scolded for his efforts. It was that night that something changed.

Twelve of the Sōma children are trapped in their respective Zodiac forms, with the thirteenth bearing the worst of the punishment. This member of the Zodiac is possessed by the outcast cat spirit.

If this curse cannot be broken by the time the thirteenth member turns eighteen years old, the Sōma children will forever remain animals, and the cat's humanity will be lost.
