Annabeth
"Ladies first." Travis turned slyly that nerve jabbing grin never leaving his face, "That means you, Annabeth. Who will you choose to mess with first?"
The group, including a reluctant Annabeth had moved to Cabin three, the only place they were sure to get a bit of privacy. And just sitting there was making Annabeth irritated.Usually, Annabeth hadn't had an issue staying in Percy's cabin with him, since it had become an adopted second home of hers anyway. But that was when they got to be alone, and not joined by Travis, Conner, and a soaking wet Nico who now smelled like the bottom of the lake. The Stoll twins always bothered her anyway- they were incredibly juvenile. But, unfortunately, her boyfriend was also surprisingly immature and got along wonderfully with the two troublemakers. Percy was lapping up their goofy grins and comments, filling the cabin with contagious laughter. That pretty laugh from her boyfriend was probably the only thing keeping Annabeth sane. That, and being a daughter of Athena was a huge advantage when finding other people's weaknesses.
Suddenly, the smell of water nudged to Annabeth's free side, Nico whispering in her ear, "Get back at Conner for me." He requested softly, still drying himself off and wringing at his shirt.
It took less than a second for Annabeth to consider this, and approve whole heartily at the idea. Not only was Conner ruining Annabeth's little date he had also been the one responsible for the unwanted smooch from Nico. Not only was the kid gay, and not Percy he also had a case of what Annabeth could only label as: death breath. Will was an unlucky kid. Oddly, it took Annabeth a moment to decide on her revenge, probably because she had an entire list to choose from, but just like Percy's angry title wave over Nico it hit her.
"Conner," she hummed, ever stone faced. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare." Conner replied without a second thought, annoyingly confident.
Oh yeah, he was going to regret that.
Annabeth smirked. "I dare you to take all of Percy's trash and throw it into the lake."
"That's the dumbest dare I have ever heard." Conner remarked nonchalantly, already scoffing with every word. "You would think that the daughter of the goddesses of wisdom would-"
He stopped. It had obviously taken him a moment to realize exactly what it would mean to throw garbage into the lake. "Crap...."
Meanwhile Percy had realized it immediately, probably remembering the time he had accidentally dropped a snickers wrapper during one of his and Annabeth's beach walks. Snickering and already laughing he proudly nudged Annabeth excitedly as if she didn't yet understand like he did. He practically jumped from the bed to grab his trash bin, smiling smiled sweetly offering it to Conner.
"Go on," Annabeth said smugly, leaning back onto the bed cooliy, "a dares a dare."
Conner swallowed and squeaked out, "um, is it to late to say truth?"
But Annabeth just batted her eyelashes. "Yes. Yes it is."
Beside her, Nico let out a loud 'ha', earning him a dirty look from Conner who was taking the trash bag as slowly as he could. With a heaving sigh, Conner turned towards the door to meet his fate and disappeared outside.
Travis instantly grabbed his camera, and bolted after him. "Let's make sure he does it." he glanced back, grinning.
Annabeth was then met with Percy's hand, oustretched romantically to which she smiled and rolled her eyes before giving up her own palm. The four of them headed out after their victim, Nico catching up with Travis to get a better view. There was a sort of evil glint in his eye that, in any other instance, might have made Annabeth nervous. Positioning themselves far back enough from the lake to keep out of danger, the group settled down to watch, all holding their breaths as Conner trudged to the sparkling waters. He reached the edge of the beach and paused. It was too far for Annabeth to see the struggle in his face but by his hesitance she got the message. Nico chuckled.
