Good morning last day of practice in Barcelona. The beginning of a new season, the start of the excitement in the air for all the Formula 1 spectator, the teams and drivers themselves.
When I woke up, Lewis was already up; he had gone for a run with Angela and was ready. He explained that after a break, he usually yearns for a good race. So his excitement showed a lot in his behaviour. We got ready, had breakfast and with that, made our way to the track.
Thankfully, practice doesn't have a lot of media coverage, so I could stay in the Mercedes garage with Angela and the rest of the team.
I had the privilege to meet Toto Wolff, along with his wife, Susie. To say that I was scared of Toto is an understatement; he is a tall man with dark hair and has a super serious deminer, especially when it comes to racing discussions. His wife, on the other hand, was the sweetest woman; she was short with blonde hair, a soft smile and kind eyes.
"Ahh, so this is the famous, Y/n," Toto said.
"Yes," Lewis said, "Y/n this is Toto Wolff, the team principal and the boss that loves me to death."
Toto laughed and said, "Nice to meet you."
"Likewise," I replied, extending my hand to shake his.
"This is my wife, Susie," he said.
"Finally, some more woman in this garage," she said and came in for a hug, "nice to meet you, dear."
"Nice to meet you too," I hugged back.
"Will you be watching the races with me this season?" she asked.
"I hope so," I answered, "I'm very excited to see what Mercedes has in store this season."
"Let me tell you now," Toto said, "We have Hamilton, Bottas, and the best team in F1."
"I heard that," a man said, emerging from the dining hall entrance, "just wanted to come by to greet you all."
"Christian, how are you?" Toto said as he walked towards him.
"That's Christian Horner," Lewis said to me.
"I know," I mentioned, "I was in the Red Bull side last season, remember?"
"Now you've joined the right side," he said, and I laughed, "anyways, they have the funniest relationship."
"It is hilarious," Susie agreed.
We watched as they went back and forth. They weren't lying; it was hilarious, and as we watched them, Lando walked by, so I went out to greet them.
"Hi, little brother," I said.
"You can't call me that; you haven't even supported me once or been to my garage," he said with a bit of attitude.
"Awww, Lando," I said, "I'll pop by McLaren soon."
"It's too late; I'm already hurt," he said with his arms crossed.
I hugged him and convenience him to accept my funny pleads.
"Alright, alright," he said, "you're safe for now."
"Thank you," I told him.
"How's the situation?" He asked.
"At the moment, unchanged," I mentioned, "but I'll tell you if something comes up."
"Cool," he replied, "I have to go; watch me dominant the track."
"I will," I told him as he walked away.
I went back inside and continued to talk the Lewis, Toto and Susie.
"They also have a charming relationship," Susie whispered to me, referencing Lewis and Toto.
