Issue 2 [Who Was He?]

Author: Sam Freddy.

I was asleep... in this deep, calm sleep, unconscious of my surroundings, and then, suddenly, like some mystical voodoo force or something, a very muscular dark-skinned masculine figure appeared out of the blue, straight ahead from me. I woke up instantly, but I didnʼt make a move or blink at all, due to my aggravating fear. Even though I was barely conscious at the moment, I could have sworn I never saw him pass through the door. He just got in someway I couldnʼt even explain.

He was about 6 feet tall, with broad shoulders and a well-built frame, which I couldn't picture well, due to the pitch-dark condition of the room.

Furthermore, he stood still for a long time, next to the closed door, watching and observing me as I pretended to be sleeping. I knew I could feel something strange about his presence, and that something clearly wasn't right, but my half-conscious state of mind kept playing pranks on me, making me think it was all a dream, whereas it certainly wasn't.

He started moving slowly, taking light steps towards where I laid, but then he stopped abruptly, looked around, looked at me, looked around again, and continued moving. Then he halted right in front of me, scrutinizing my entire body with his bright eyes, as though to confirm that I was truly asleep, before sitting next to me-right where I laid-on the bed.

I wanted to scream as loud as I could, but I dismissed the thought immediately it came, at least for my dear life! I couldnʼt take the risk at all. I still didnʼt know what he was capable of doing to me if I dared him or acted funny in any way, so I preferred to keep shut and see how things would go from there.

I still thought the whole thing was a dream until I felt a slight, tender touch on my face, and then another on my lap. I was hooked at once! His touch felt good, real good, and his palms were very soft. It seemed to be more than a dream to me. I was quite sure about it this time.

He kept fondling my cheeks and rubbing my thighs at a very slow pace, glancing at me at intervals, as though to know if I was still fully asleep. In the blink of an eye, the worst thing happened right then. He kissed me.

His lips felt moist. I shuddered. I felt hypnotized. His taste was too appealing for me to handle! I couldʼve sworn I actually wanted more of it. I craved for more! I needed more!

He broke the kiss and, with a very swift move, took his hands down my abdominal regions and placed them there. He fiddled with my nightdress and started to pull it up very slowly.

The next thing I knew, I felt my undies down. He had tugged it off.

"Stacey!" I suddenly heard someoneʼs call, but the voice was faint to my ears.

"Stacey!" I heard again, this time louder than before. I opened my eyes.

Right there and then, my mother barged into the room. She switched on the lights, looked around for a while, walked towards me and then sat on the bedstead.

"Stacey! Honey, you never switch off the lights when you sleep. What's wrong?" I noted the high rate of curiosity in her eyes and the immense fear from her voice as she stared at me, deeply worried. I couldn't heave a response. I was confused. I never turned off the lights. Who did?

"Stacey, talk to me. What happened?" She asked again, caressing my already sweaty hands. There was a concerned expression on her face as she waited patiently for me to speak, but I still couldn't talk.

"Stacey, what's wrong, dear? Can you hear me?" She looked very terrified now. Yet, I couldn't reply.

"Okay, that's it, I'm calling your dad right away!" She said fearfully, stood up and ran out of my room to the room next door.

The moment she did, the whole thing came crashing down on me like an avalanche. Could it have been a dream, or just mere hallucination? I kept asking myself, struggling with the thoughts in my already aching head.

Just then, something caught my attention. I was shocked.

I saw my very own underwear squeezed up at the edge of the bed, like it had been thrown carelessly by someone. I couldn't believe it!

Was it more than a dream, after all?

And even if it was, who switched off the lights?

Who took off my undies?
