Hera's POV

The past two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind since embarking on my crash course in mortal living, courtesy of my son's volcanic forge. Hephaestus, in his wisdom, enlisted the aid of Hermes for some much-needed assistance, and let me tell you, their efforts were not in vain. I had grossly underestimated the extent of the adjustment required to navigate the intricacies of modern mortal life.

From understanding the intricacies of social media to grappling with the ever-evolving nuances of human relationships, I've found myself confronted with a myriad of challenges. It's as if the mortal realm has undergone a revolution since my last venture into their world, and I'm desperately playing catch-up.

Oh, Olympus... who could have foreseen that a mere fortnight could be so densely packed with action and drama? It's been a rollercoaster ride of emotions, leaving me both exhilarated and utterly exhausted. Sigh... but such is the price of adaptation in this ever-changing world.

Third Person's POV

"Okay, so Hera, what does it mean when someone says 'no cap'?" Hermes asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.

"They don't have caps," Hera replied confidently, her brow furrowed in confusion as she awaited their response.

Both gods exchanged exasperated looks before facepalming simultaneously.

"What? What's wrong with my answer?" Hera inquired, genuinely puzzled by their reaction.

"Well, mother, when someone says 'no cap,' it means they're telling the truth," Hephaestus explained matter-of-factly.

Hephaestus sighed and handed Hera a sheet of paper. "Mother, please try memorizing this as best as you can. Think of it as a crucial step in adapting to life as a normal mortal."

Hera glanced at the paper, her confusion deepening. "This sheet is all about teen slang and its meanings. Mortal teenagers have coined new words to enhance their communication and sound 'cool,'" Hermes clarified.

"Sigh... Do I really have to? I'm going to live there as an adult, not a teenager," Hera protested.

"No, mother, you need to memorize these first before delving into more adult matters. Plus, you'll be interacting with teenagers, so it's essential," Hephaestus insisted, though he couldn't suppress a hint of amusement at his mother's reluctance. He had never seen her whine before, and it was a somewhat amusing sight.

"It will also facilitate interactions with adults, as they sometimes employ these teen slangs," Hermes added.

(Flash forward to after memorizing teen slang)

"Congratulations, Hera, you've memorized the teen slang," Hermes said, though his smile held a tinge of sadness. He secretly hoped that Hera would give up and return to Olympus.

Following that accomplishment, they inundated Hera with paper copies, sheets, files, and folders to memorize. These materials covered everything from running a mortal business to more slang terms, text abbreviations, appropriate behavior in various situations, insights into high schools and colleges, the popularity hierarchy of mortal life, seasonal trends, and a lengthy list of 'things to avoid to prevent public embarrassment.'

"Hera, read, memorize, absorb, and analyze every word written in that pile," Hermes instructed, pointing to a tower-like stack of sources.

Hera's eyes widened in disbelief. She hadn't expected the mortal world to have undergone such drastic changes in just fifty millennia since her last visit.
