We live in a galaxy call the Milky way. Galaxies contain stars, which we can see clearly from mostly mountains, hills and places with not much lighting. Then, we can see thousands, no, millions of stars! It is such a sighting, you know. There are 4 types of galaxies: Spiral, Elliptical, Irregular and Quasar galaxies.

1) Spiral galaxies: They are spiral in shape. Our Milky way is an example of one.

2) Elliptical galaxies: They are stretched-out circles. They contain old stars, so they aren't as bright as Spiral galaxies.

3) Irregular galaxies: They don't have a single common shape. They can also be very bright. Like spiral galaxies, irregular galaxies are often filled with gas, dust, and lots of young stars.

4) Quasar galaxies: They are compact areas in the center of a galaxy. They create enormous amounts of energy. Quasars are some of the brightest objects in the universe.
