My alarm went off and I got up doing my morning hygiene then puts my robe on going down the stairs seeing adeya underneath the tree opening up gifts and Kehlani sitting on the couch watching with the biggest smile on her face.
Janet: good morning
Adeya runs and hugs my leg
Janet: why you didn't wake me up dey
Adeya: mama told me no
I look up at Kehlani but she's not looking at me
Janet: go open up the rest so I can see
Adeya runs back over and I sit next to Kehlani and she side eyes me
Janet: are we okay?
Kehlani: yes
Janet: are y-
Kehlani: *pecks my lips* yes Janet
Kehlani gives me a small smile and looks back at Adeya and I just look at her.
Janet: so why did you run off?
Kehlani: I don't know
Janet: oh
I didn't know what else to say so I just got up and went to make some coffee.
Kehlani: Janet
Janet: what?
Kehlani: stop being this way
Janet: what way?
Kehlani: ughhh !
Janet: i don't have time for your games
Kehlani: *puts her arms around my neck* what games?
Janet: excuse me *moves Kehlani arms*
I walk away and pour me some coffee and takes a sip
