You woke up to hear your parents arguing..again. You sigh and get up, get changed and go brush your teeth and fix your hair as usual, you then slowly make your way to the kitchen to make your breakfast. That's when your parents bring the argument to you..
"WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST KEEP YOU MOUTH SHUT!!" Your mum screamed at your dad.
"OR MAYBE YOU SHOULD START THINKING BEFORE YOU ACT!!" He argued
"Can you guys like..stop? I'm trying to eat he-" You were cut off.
"Y/N! DONT get involved.!" Your mother screamed.
You just sat there watching. *okay then* you thought as you continued eating, this was a daily thing for you, you were to used to this so you just brushed it off *they are going to make up within the next hour or so and everything will be fine* you thought.
Well. You were wrong, as the next words that came out of your mums mouth, would change your life..forever.
"I WANT A DIVORCE!! I CANT DEAL WITH YOU ANYMORE!" She screamed
"..F-FINE!" He responded
You could hear the pain in his voice as he tried to brave it out, you dropped your spoon in your bowl of cereal
"What?! You can't get a divorce!! What about me?! What about-" You shouted, trying to change your mums decision.
"We will sort it, just pick me or your dad. If you pick me you will stay here and if you pick- him. You will move back to that stupid little village he was brought up in." She said.
"W-what- I can't pick are you crazy!?" You secretly wanted to pick your dad straight away, your mother has always been toxic towards you and your dad, and has always had other men over and slept with them right infront of you and your dad, but you didn't just because you wanted to be polite.
"Well youre going to have to. Hurry up about it I haven't got all day!" M/n yelled.
"But i-" You looked over at your dad, then back at your mum. "Fine. I'm going with dad.." You mumbled
"Go pack your shit then! Go and hurry, ill have the papers by tomorrow so don't get in my way until then." She said walking out the kitchen. That was when-
"I'm so sorry y/n! I wish you didn't have to go through all this, I promise we will have a good life there! I will do everything I can!" He said breaking out into tears, your mother had really gone and done it this time.
"It's okay, I know you will do everything you can, it's fine I promise" you knew it wasn't, you just wanted to make your dad feel better.
~Time skip to the next day~
You had already woken up and were ready to leave with your dad when your mum showed up at the door.
*maybe she changed her mind?* you thought.
"See you never! Please don't come back" Then she walked inside the house! *The audacity!!*
Anyway you guys had started making your way, you already knew this was going to be a long trip
~Time skip to when you get to the village~
"Finally!" You yelled, you had been sat down for a while and then walking for even longer, so you were overjoyed when you got to the village, you never thought you would be so happy to see some houses and people
"Don't get too excited" your dad chuckled.
You started to walk towards the houses and then you came up to a house on the outer parts of the village and knocked on the door, then a familiar face showed up at the door
"Y/n? D/n? What are you doing here??" Your abuela answered.
"Hey ma, I'll explain to you later, may we come in?" Your dad responded
"Of course! Come in!" She said stepping aside and opening the door wider
You walk in and settle down, then decide you want to have a walk around and get some fresh air, also take in the new home have a look around
~Time skip to walking around~
You come up to a massive house and see a girl dancing around with kids following her and decide to join the crowd
"Mirabel?" Her abuela said "what are you doing?"
"I was-" The girl replied, *so her name is mirabel?*
"She was about to tell us her gift!!" The little ones shouted
"She didn't get one, hm" a girl from inside said while walking off
*gift? What are they talking about?* you think to yourself
The curly haired girl with green glasses named mirabel then looks at you
"Hi, not to be rude but who are you? I've never seen you around before" She says
"Oh, that's because I just moved here, my names y/n nice to meet you" You hold out your hand
She shakes it "pleasure! I'm mirabel" she has such a welcoming smile it's contagious, you can't help but smile back
"Oo since your knew I can give you a tour!" She says excited
"That would be lovely! Thanks" you say
~Time skip to after the tour~
"Thanks for the tour, this is my stop! Can I meet you again some time?" You ask
"Of course! Let's be friends, I'll pick you up tonight so you can join us for my cousins gifting ceremony" She says
"Sure! I'll be there, I'll meet u here tonight" You say actually pretty excited for once
"Okay! Cya around!!" She says walking away back to her house
"Bye!" You go inside and immediately get clothes ready for tonight and sit in your room buzzing thinking about that night *this is going to be one fun night* you thought, you had already told your padre and abuela about it and they were fine with it, all you had to do now, was wait..
